  • • As a Sales Manager (GTME) at Clay Labs Inc., you will lead and scale the Sales-Assist motion for small and mid-sized businesses in the UK, shaping how Clay delivers high-velocity, creative go-to-market solutions to fast-growing companies. This role is pivotal in building a team that doesn’t just sell software but acts as trusted advisors who diagnose and transform prospects’ GTM motions with speed, technical depth, and consultative flair.
  • • You will recruit, onboard, and coach a high-performing team of GTMEs (Go-to-Market Engineers) who blend technical expertise with sales acumen, enabling them to run rapid discovery, deliver tailored demos, and qualify opportunities at scale while maintaining a bespoke customer experience. Your leadership will focus on hiring scrappy, creative operators, designing scalable enablement systems, and fostering a culture where experimentation, velocity, and measurable impact are rewarded and sustained.
  • • You will own and evolve the GTME playbook by designing discovery frameworks, demo structures, qualification criteria, and objection-handling guides optimized for high-volume, short-cycle sales — balancing rigor with flexibility to empower your team to innovate and iterate quickly based on real-world deal patterns.
  • • You will act as a critical bridge between Sales, Product, Marketing, and Customer Success, synthesizing insights from high-velocity deals to influence product roadmaps, refine messaging, and ensure the SMB segment receives the tools, enablement, and support needed to win at scale.
  • • You will develop the next generation of GTM talent at Clay by setting the standard for excellence in technical selling, coaching GTMEs to become trusted advisors who help SMBs uncover their GTM alpha through creativity, data, and AI-driven insights — directly contributing to Clay’s mission of turning growth ideas into reality.
  • • You will operate within Clay’s distinctive culture, where employees are encouraged to bring their full selves to work — whether as DJs, activists, writers, or marathoners — and where principles like negative maintenance and non-attached action guide decision-making, fostering an environment of continuous learning and creative problem-solving.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 4+ years of experience leading technical GTM teams, including GTMEs, AEs, Solutions Engineers, Sales Engineers, or SDRs in high-velocity B2B or SMB sales environments
  • • Proven success in executing deals within fast-paced SMB or high-velocity B2B sales cycles, with demonstrated ability to navigate technical objections, prioritize effectively, and maintain deal quality at scale
  • • Deep passion for Clay’s mission and GTM automation, with a strong belief in how the platform enables SMBs to discover and scale their GTM alpha through data, signals, and AI research
