- • As a Sales Manager, you will be instrumental in driving the adoption of cutting-edge heat pump technology, contributing directly to industrial decarbonization efforts and helping clients achieve significant reductions in CO₂ emissions and operational costs. Your primary focus will be on new business acquisition, leveraging your expertise to navigate large industrial organizations and their intricate technical sales cycles.
- • The role demands a proactive approach to identifying potential customers, initiating contact, and building strong, lasting relationships with key decision-makers. You will manage the entire sales process, from initial remote discussions and technical engagement, often supported by Copeland's expert engineering teams, through to the progression of onsite discussions and project development.
- • A key aspect of your responsibility will involve coordinating closely with internal technical specialists to facilitate initial customer discussions, conduct technical simulations, and explore the feasibility of proposed solutions. This collaborative effort ensures that clients receive tailored, data-driven insights into how Copeland's heat pump technology can meet their specific industrial heating needs.
- • To effectively advance opportunities and foster strong client partnerships, you will be expected to travel within France to customer sites. Furthermore, you will represent Copeland at significant industry conferences and events, typically one major event annually, to enhance brand visibility and network with industry professionals.
- • Collaboration is central to success in this role. You will work closely with remote commercial and technical teams located in the UK and Norway, as well as colleagues in the German office, ensuring a cohesive and integrated approach to market development. This cross-functional teamwork is essential for sharing best practices, leveraging collective expertise, and driving consistent results across European markets.
- • Continuous market intelligence is also a crucial component of this position. You will be responsible for monitoring evolving market trends, understanding evolving customer needs, and analyzing competitor activities within the French industrial and energy sectors. This insight will inform your sales strategies and help identify emerging opportunities.
- • The ideal candidate will possess a foundational technical understanding of HVAC systems, heat pumps, thermodynamics, or related thermal technologies, enabling effective communication with technical stakeholders. An outgoing, relationship-oriented personality is essential for building trust and rapport with clients.
