Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Own and accelerate Brenntag’s Water Treatment (WT) sales strategy across the United Kingdom & Ireland, translating ambitious growth targets into a clear, actionable roadmap that the entire WT Sales Team can rally behind.
- • Lead, inspire and coach a high-performing EAM (Enterprise Account Management) & IAM (Industry Account Management) sales force, embedding a culture of continuous improvement, accountability and customer-centricity that turns individual talent into collective success.
- • Partner shoulder-to-shoulder with the UK WT Business Manager to define annual revenue, margin and market-share goals, then break these down into quarterly sprints, territory plans and individual KPIs that are transparent, measurable and motivating.
- • Design and deploy a fit-for-purpose sales deployment model—balancing geographic coverage, vertical specialisation and named-account focus—so that every customer touch-point is optimised for value creation and long-term loyalty.
- • Drive double-digit growth at existing accounts by uncovering hidden pain-points, cross-selling Brenntag’s full portfolio of water-treatment chemistries, digital services and sustainability solutions, and converting these insights into multi-year supply agreements.
- • Open new doors in under-penetrated segments (municipal, power, food & beverage, micro-electronics, oil & gas) by building compelling business cases, running pilot trials and leveraging Brenntag’s global supplier network to out-innovate the competition.
- • Translate market intelligence—regulatory shifts, sustainability drivers, competitor moves—into differentiated value propositions that position Brenntag as the partner of choice for safe, efficient and sustainable water management.
- • Collaborate daily with technical sales specialists, product management, supply-chain and customer-service teams to craft bespoke solutions, ensure flawless execution and deliver a seamless customer experience from first contact to repeat order.
- • Institutionalise a rigorous, data-driven sales process (CRM hygiene, funnel reviews, win/loss analysis) that shortens sales cycles, improves forecast accuracy and frees the team to spend more time in front of customers.
- • Coach each team member through structured 1:1s, joint customer visits and tailored development plans, raising the bar on negotiation skills, technical fluency and consultative selling techniques that turn good reps into trusted advisors.
- • Build and maintain a living sales playbook—battle cards, objection-handling guides, ROI calculators, case studies—that accelerates onboarding and equips the team to win complex, multi-stakeholder deals.
- • Act as the voice of the customer inside Brenntag, feeding field insights into marketing campaigns, product roadmaps and sustainability initiatives that keep the company one step ahead of market demand.
- • Monitor pricing integrity, margin leakage and contract compliance, implementing corrective actions that protect profitability while remaining competitive and fair.
- • Represent Brenntag at industry conferences, trade associations and customer events, raising brand visibility and positioning senior leaders as thought-leaders in water stewardship and circular-economy solutions.
- • Foster a psychologically safe, inclusive environment where diverse perspectives are celebrated, ideas are debated constructively and every team member feels empowered to experiment, learn and grow.
🎯 Requirements
- • Proven experience managing and scaling a B2B sales team in chemicals, water treatment, or a closely related technical sector
- • Demonstrated ability to design and execute strategic sales plans that deliver double-digit revenue and margin growth
- • Strong leadership and coaching skills, with a track record of developing high-performing, diverse teams
- • Excellent commercial acumen—skilled in pricing, contract negotiation and P&L management
- • Data-driven mindset with advanced CRM (Salesforce preferred) utilisation and sales-process discipline
- • Water-treatment industry experience desirable but not essential; curiosity and willingness to learn are critical
🏖️ Benefits
- • Competitive base salary plus uncapped performance bonus aligned to team and company success
- • Comprehensive learning & development budget, including formal leadership programmes and technical water-treatment certifications
- • Flexible hybrid working model (2–3 days from home) and autonomy to structure your week around customer needs
- • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, with option to buy or sell additional days, and enhanced family-leave policies
