Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Own and grow a dedicated territory serving small businesses within the Korean-speaking community across Northern Virginia, acting as the primary face of Elavon’s payment solutions and trusted advisor to merchants who need reliable, secure, and scalable ways to accept credit, debit, and emerging digital payments.
- • Build and nurture a robust pipeline of prospects through proactive prospecting, warm referrals from existing clients, strategic partnerships with Korean-American business associations, chambers of commerce, and cultural organizations, as well as attendance at local festivals, trade shows, and networking events.
- • Conduct consultative discovery meetings—in both Korean and English—to uncover each merchant’s unique pain points, transaction volumes, industry challenges, and growth goals, then craft tailored proposals that demonstrate clear ROI through lower processing fees, faster funding, charge-back protection, and value-added services such as gift card programs, loyalty solutions, and e-commerce integrations.
- • Deliver compelling in-person and virtual sales presentations that translate complex payment technology into simple, relatable benefits; negotiate pricing and contract terms that balance profitability for Elavon with affordability for the merchant; and close deals that consistently meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.
- • Serve as the ongoing relationship manager post-sale, coordinating with underwriting, risk, implementation, and customer support teams to ensure seamless onboarding, prompt deployment of terminals and software, and early-life check-ins that drive activation, satisfaction, and long-term retention.
- • Maintain meticulous records in Salesforce, tracking every lead, opportunity, touch-point, and outcome; analyze territory data to identify seasonal trends, vertical opportunities, and competitive threats; and adjust strategies quickly to maximize market penetration and wallet share.
- • Champion the voice of the Korean merchant community internally—sharing cultural insights, language-specific marketing feedback, and product enhancement ideas—so that Elavon continues to innovate solutions that resonate authentically with diverse small-business owners.
- • Mentor and collaborate with junior sales colleagues and cross-functional partners, fostering a culture of continuous learning, ethical conduct, and customer-centricity that reflects U.S. Bank’s standing as one of the World’s Most Ethical Companies.
- • Stay current on payment industry regulations, PCI-DSS standards, interchange updates, and emerging technologies such as contactless, mobile wallets, and cryptocurrency acceptance, ensuring every recommendation remains compliant, secure, and future-proof.
- • Travel locally throughout the assigned Virginia territory (and occasionally to adjacent markets or company meetings) up to 50% of the time, managing your own schedule and expense budget to optimize face-time with high-value prospects while maintaining work-life balance in a flexible, remote-first environment.
