- • As a Sales Representative for VWR International in Houston, you will maintain and grow Education & Medical Research sales efforts in a full-time, field-based role, acting as the CEO of your territory to drive consultative sales of scientific products and solutions.
- • Day to day, you will own and grow your sales territory by developing strategic plans, prospecting and acquiring new customers, retaining existing accounts, selling consultatively by understanding customer needs, collaborating with product specialists and partners, managing a diverse product portfolio, and representing VWR throughout the sales cycle including negotiation and post-sale support.
- • You will join a global team at Avantor (VWR’s parent company) committed to enabling scientific discovery and innovation, with a focus on inclusivity, diversity, and equitable growth opportunities, backed by a vast portfolio and global reach to support customers from discovery to delivery.
- • In this role, you can achieve significant career growth by mastering consultative selling in a complex B2B environment, deepening expertise in life sciences and laboratory products, building long-term customer relationships, and contributing to mission-critical solutions that advance healthcare and research outcomes.
🎯 Requirements
- • College degree or equivalent/applicable experience
- • 1+ years of experience in a complex sales environment with solution-based selling or 2+ years of life sciences work
- • Proven track record of verifiable sales success using a consultative, strategic selling approach
- • Business-to-business sales experience, with preference for distribution experience, scientific background, or laboratory/research environment work
- • Demonstrated capability to utilize best-in-class selling processes (e.g., SPIN, Challenger, Miller Heiman) and technology platforms including Salesforce.com and Qlikview
- • Willingness to travel to customer locations 5 days a week

- • Competitive compensation package with base salary range of $59,150.00 - $100,740.00 and target cash opportunity of $98,600.00 - $167,900.00
