- • The Sales Representative role at Avantor is critical to driving growth and profitability by selling products and services to clients within an assigned territory, identifying new customers, and maintaining strong distribution agreements.
- • Day to day, the person will prospect and establish new customers, manage a sales pipeline, develop and deliver proposals, sell consultatively by determining customer needs, manage territory and product portfolio, build and sustain customer relationships, work with sales management on strategic plans, represent Avantor with manufacturers, and perform other assigned duties.
- • Avantor is a global leader in mission-critical products and services for healthcare, life sciences, and advanced technologies, with a Sales vertical that enables internal teams worldwide to grow beyond their limits through talent acquisition and market expansion.
- • The person can learn and achieve strategic territory planning, consultative selling methodologies, deep product knowledge across a vast portfolio, strong manufacturer relationships, and career growth within a diverse, equitable, and inclusive culture that supports skill development and impactful contributions to life-changing science.
🎯 Requirements
- • College degree or equivalent/applicable experience
- • 3-5 years of experience in a complex sales environment with multiple stakeholders and solution-based selling approach
- • Proven track record of verifiable sales success driving growth with consultative, strategic selling (e.g., SPIN, Challenger, Miller Heiman)
- • Business-to-business sales experience, with preference for distribution experience and scientific/laboratory or research background
- • Demonstrated capability to utilize Salesforce.com, Qlikview, and Microsoft Office
- • Holder of a valid Driver’s License and willingness to travel to customer locations
