- • As a Sales Security Engineer - Public Sector at Tenable, you will play a critical role in driving sales success and enhancing customer experience for State, Local, and Education (SLED) accounts by leveraging your technical expertise to showcase Tenable’s cybersecurity solutions.
- • Day to day, you will deliver technical demonstrations of Tenable’s platform, support Proof of Value evaluations, solve customer security and compliance challenges, engage with prospects through technical consultations and events, collaborate with sales teams to meet revenue targets, and build strong relationships with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.
- • You will join Tenable’s Public Sector team, part of a global leader in Exposure Management trusted by 44,000 organizations including 65% of the Fortune 500 and major government agencies, working within a culture that values belonging, respect, and excellence as part of the #OneTenable team.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in cybersecurity solutions for public sector environments, develop consultative sales and technical presentation skills, gain exposure to compliance frameworks like NIST, FedRAMP, and GovRAMP, and contribute to shaping Tenable’s product direction through cross-functional collaboration.
🎯 Requirements
- • Technical aptitude to understand and explain vulnerability and attack path assessment across IT, Cloud, and converged OT/IoT infrastructure
- • Foundational understanding of cybersecurity ecosystem including Vulnerability Management, Exposure Management, Attack Surface Management, Web Application Security, and related concepts
- • Basic knowledge of AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud security principles
- • Awareness of public sector compliance standards such as CIS, NIST, State-specific regulations, GovRAMP, and FedRAMP
- • Strong communication and presentation skills with ability to adapt messaging for technical and non-technical audiences
- • Experience performing product demonstrations and delivering technical presentations
