  • • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients seeking EU and national funding opportunities, guiding them through the full lifecycle of grant applications and blended finance solutions.
  • • Identify and qualify potential clients including start-ups, SMEs, and corporates across Central and Eastern Europe, Central Asia, and the Caucasus regions who are pursuing innovation projects in green tech, AI, circular economy, and digital transformation.
  • • Develop and maintain strong relationships with international partners, founders, and business leaders to align funding strategies with client growth objectives.
  • • Collaborate with internal consulting and project teams to design tailored funding proposals that meet the specific regulatory and financial requirements of EU and national programs.
  • • Conduct market research to stay current on funding program updates, eligibility criteria, and policy changes across target geographies to ensure accurate client advice.
  • • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and pitches to prospective clients, clearly articulating the value of Civitta’s funding advisory services.
  • • Manage a pipeline of sales opportunities from initial outreach through negotiation and closure, using CRM tools to track progress and forecast revenue.
  • • Coordinate with cross-functional teams including finance, legal, and project delivery to ensure seamless handoff of clients post-sale and to support ongoing client success.
  • • Represent Civitta at industry events, networking forums, and funding workshops to increase brand visibility and generate new business leads.
  • • Maintain a deep understanding of the funding landscape in Central and Eastern Europe, including structural funds, Horizon Europe, Recovery and Resilience Facility, and national innovation grants.
  • • Adapt communication and sales approaches to suit diverse cultural and business environments across multiple countries and languages.
  • • Provide regular sales reports and insights to management, highlighting trends, challenges, and opportunities in the funding advisory market.
  • • Act as a trusted advisor to clients by offering strategic guidance on how to structure projects to maximize funding eligibility and compliance.
  • • Ensure all client interactions and documentation adhere to company standards, ethical guidelines, and data protection regulations.
  • • Contribute to the continuous improvement of sales processes, collateral, and training materials based on real-world client feedback and market dynamics.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Proven experience in sales, business development, or client advisory within the public funding, grants, or innovation support sector
  • • Strong understanding of EU funding programs, national grant schemes, or blended finance mechanisms
  • • Demonstrated ability to manage complex sales cycles with multiple stakeholders across start-ups, SMEs, and corporates
  • • Fluency in English; additional proficiency in a language spoken in Central and Eastern Europe or the Caucasus is highly valued
  • • Experience using CRM systems to track and manage sales pipelines
  • • Excellent presentation, negotiation, and communication skills
