  • • As a Salesforce Solution Architect specializing in Marketing Cloud and Government Cloud Plus, you will be the pivotal technical leader responsible for designing and delivering sophisticated Salesforce solutions tailored to the unique needs of federal government agencies.
  • • This role demands a deep understanding of Salesforce Marketing Cloud's capabilities, coupled with expertise in navigating the stringent security and compliance requirements inherent in federal environments. You will be instrumental in bridging the gap between complex mission requirements and their effective technical implementation.
  • • You will lead the entire architecture lifecycle, from initial client engagement and discovery through to final solution delivery and ongoing optimization, ensuring every solution is scalable, secure, and aligned with the client's strategic objectives.
  • • A core responsibility involves architecting robust and scalable Salesforce Marketing Cloud solutions within the specialized Government Cloud Plus environments. This requires meticulous attention to detail to ensure all designs adhere to rigorous federal security standards, data privacy regulations, and best practices.
  • • You will spearhead discovery workshops with cleared federal stakeholders, employing advanced facilitation techniques to elicit critical requirements. Your ability to translate these complex needs into clear, actionable high-level functional specifications will be crucial for project success.
  • • A significant part of your role will be the creation and oversight of comprehensive architecture documentation. This includes developing detailed architecture blueprints, business process diagrams, data flow models, and reusable assets that enhance delivery efficiency and maintainability across projects.
  • • You will serve as the primary technical authority, providing expert guidance and strategic direction to both clients and internal delivery teams. Your insights will shape the technical roadmap and ensure the successful adoption of Salesforce solutions.

You will continuously research and evaluate emerging Salesforce trends, including advancements in Agentforce, AI capabilities (such as Einstein), and new features within Marketing Cloud, to propose cutting-edge solutions that enhance government service delivery within secure parameters.
  • • Collaboration is key. You will work in close coordination with Federal Business Analysts, Technical Architects, and project managers to ensure a cohesive and best-in-class delivery experience for enterprise-level government agencies.
  • • You will actively participate in the assignment of work to delivery resources, providing mentorship and technical guidance to junior staff. Your leadership will extend to supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT), ensuring that the delivered solutions precisely meet the rigorous functional and non-functional requirements of federal clients.
  • • This role requires a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating technical risks throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring the integrity and security of the deployed solutions.
  • • You will be expected to contribute to the continuous improvement of Thunder's methodologies and best practices, particularly within the federal sector, sharing your knowledge and experience to elevate the entire team.
  • • The ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, including executive leadership, is essential for success in this client-facing role.
  • • You will play a vital role in pre-sales activities, assisting business development teams by providing technical expertise, developing solution proposals, and participating in client presentations to secure new business opportunities.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Minimum of 4-6 years of progressive Salesforce consulting experience, with a significant focus on large-scale Federal or enterprise-level government environments.
  • • Extensive, hands-on experience architecting and implementing solutions using Salesforce Marketing Cloud. Experience with Government Cloud Plus environments is highly desirable.
  • • Proven expertise in Salesforce Marketing Cloud functionalities, including Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Email Studio, and Audience Builder. Familiarity with CDP (Data 360), Datorama, and Interaction Studio is a strong plus.
  • • Deep understanding of the broader Salesforce ecosystem, with advanced skills in configuration, customization (Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components), and business process modeling within the Salesforce platform.
  • • Demonstrated ability to lead discovery workshops, elicit requirements from federal stakeholders, and translate them into comprehensive technical designs and functional specifications.
  • • Exceptional stakeholder management and executive-level presentation skills, with the ability to clearly communicate complex technical information to diverse audiences.
  • • Strong strategic planning, governance, and organizational skills, with a proven track record of managing complex programs in cleared delivery environments.
  • • US Citizenship is required, and an active Secret Security Clearance is mandatory.
  • • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology, Business).
  • • Required Certifications: Salesforce Marketing Cloud Administrator, Salesforce Marketing Cloud Consultant, Salesforce Certified Administrator, Salesforce Certified Business Analyst.
  • • Preferred Certifications: Salesforce Marketing Cloud Account Engagement (MCAE) Specialist Consultant and Salesforce AI Specialist.
  • • Willingness to learn and adapt to emerging Salesforce technologies, including Agentforce and advanced AI capabilities.
