- • As a Sample Management Specialist II, you will be instrumental in overseeing the end-to-end sample management lifecycle. This encompasses the meticulous receipt, accurate inventorying, strict chain of custody maintenance, secure storage, controlled transfers, and appropriate disposition of incurred samples, reference materials, matrices, critical reagents, and any other items that require precise storage conditions and vigilant tracking.
- • A core responsibility of this position is to guarantee the uncompromised integrity of all materials handled. This involves the proficient operation, diligent troubleshooting, and regular maintenance of specialized storage appliances and the environmental monitoring system, which are fundamental to maintaining sample quality and compliance at all levels of the organization.
- • You will be expected to perform all routine and common duties associated with sample management independently and reliably. This includes managing daily tasks with a high degree of accuracy and contributing to other assigned duties as needed, demonstrating a thorough understanding of best practices and regulatory requirements.
- • Key responsibilities include the precise control and timely disposition of study samples and reference materials, ensuring that all client directives are followed meticulously.
- • You will be responsible for all facets of shipping and receiving samples, including the secure and documented destruction and transfer of materials as per client specifications, adhering to all relevant shipping regulations and protocols.
- • A vital part of the role involves providing samples and other necessary materials to laboratory staff for analysis, ensuring that researchers have the resources they need to conduct their work efficiently and without delay.
- • Maintaining an accurate and up-to-date inventory of all supplies used for sample management is essential. You will be proactive in identifying needs and ordering supplies to ensure continuous operational efficiency and prevent any disruptions.
- • You will actively assist with the maintenance, operation, and support of critical sample storage equipment and the associated environmental monitoring systems, contributing to the overall reliability and functionality of the sample management infrastructure.
