  • • As a SAP Payroll, Wage, and Raise Support Consultant for Meridian Partners, you will be instrumental in ensuring the seamless and accurate execution of payroll for a significant K-12 public sector client. This vital role focuses on the intricate details of SAP HCM U.S. Payroll, encompassing configuration, troubleshooting, and support for wage and compensation adjustments, including salary increases. You will be a key liaison between payroll operations, HR leadership, and SAP technical teams, contributing to the stability and continuous improvement of critical payroll processes that directly impact educators and school staff.
  • • Your primary responsibility will be to provide robust SAP HCM Payroll production support. This involves diligently monitoring payroll runs, proactively identifying and resolving errors, and ensuring the timely completion of all payroll processing cycles. You will be the go-to expert for troubleshooting complex payroll calculation issues, including retroactive accounting, tax processing intricacies, and time integration challenges. This role demands a deep understanding of SAP HCM Payroll functionality to provide effective second-level functional support for a wide range of payroll and HR system issues.
  • • A significant aspect of this position involves the configuration and maintenance of core payroll elements. You will be responsible for setting up and managing payroll schemas and rules, defining and configuring wage types and pay components, and ensuring accurate retroactive accounting. Furthermore, you will manage the critical process of payroll posting to finance, ensuring financial data integrity.
  • • You will play a crucial role in supporting the administration of employee compensation. This includes assisting with the configuration and processing of employee salary increases, pay adjustments, and other compensation changes. You will be tasked with configuring and managing specific wage types that are essential for processing raises, bonuses, and other adjustments. Your expertise will be vital in supporting mass pay updates, salary actions, and understanding the broader payroll impacts of compensation-related changes.
  • • The role also extends to supporting the generation and accuracy of payslips and other payroll output forms and reports. You will be involved in the configuration and troubleshooting of these essential outputs to ensure they are correct and compliant.
  • • In terms of system maintenance and support, you will contribute to system testing, upgrades, and the implementation of support packs. You will collaborate with Basis and technical teams to analyze system behavior post-upgrades, ensuring smooth transitions. Additionally, you will provide support for integrations between SAP and external systems, including HR, benefits, and payroll vendors, ensuring data flows accurately and securely.
  • • Collaboration and documentation are paramount. You will work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to diagnose and resolve payroll issues effectively. Maintaining comprehensive documentation of configuration updates, support resolutions, and system changes is a key deliverable. You will also leverage your expertise to provide guidance on public sector payroll practices and compliance considerations, ensuring the client remains up-to-date and adheres to all relevant regulations.
  • • This is a contract, hourly position, fully remote, requiring you to reside within the United States. While remote, up to 20% domestic travel may be required. You must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship, now or in the future. Meridian Partners is a growing consultancy with a strong focus on public sector clients, offering exposure to meaningful work that improves communities. Join a collaborative, people-first culture with generous benefits and opportunities for professional growth.
