- • Design, implement, and manage SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) automation and control systems for municipal and industrial water, wastewater, and remediation projects across New England.
- • Collaborate with project managers, technical managers, project engineers, and operations staff to deliver projects within scope, schedule, and budget constraints.
- • Serve as a trusted technical advisor to municipal and industrial clients, providing regular updates on project status and identifying opportunities to enhance operational efficiency.
- • Participate in preconstruction meetings, project kick-offs, and site startups, often traveling to job locations within driving distance in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut.
- • Support medium to large-scale standalone and multidisciplinary SCADA projects, ensuring systems are configured to meet client specifications and regulatory requirements.
- • Conduct field visits to observe system performance, troubleshoot control issues, and validate installation integrity during project implementation phases.
- • Maintain strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle by communicating technical findings, progress, and next steps clearly and consistently.
- • Work within a hybrid work model that includes office, remote, and onsite assignments based on project demands and team needs.
- • Coordinate with internal teams to integrate SCADA systems with other engineering disciplines, including hydraulic modeling, process design, and instrumentation.
- • Ensure all automation solutions comply with industry standards and client-specific operational protocols.
- • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at increasing system reliability, reducing downtime, and optimizing resource utilization across water and environmental infrastructure projects.
- • Prepare technical documentation, including control narratives, system diagrams, commissioning reports, and user manuals for client handover.
- • Support project bidding and proposal development by providing technical input on automation scope, timelines, and resource requirements.
- • Stay current with emerging SCADA technologies, cybersecurity best practices, and automation trends relevant to water and wastewater utilities.
- • Travel regionally up to 80% of the time, including occasional overnight stays to support project milestones and client meetings.
- • Actively engage in an employee-owned company culture that values collaboration, inclusivity, and professional growth.
- • Contribute to team knowledge-sharing sessions and mentor junior engineers on SCADA system design and field implementation practices.
