- • The Program Management Advisor – Scrum Master plays a critical role in enabling the successful delivery of business and technology solutions within the health insurance domain, with a strong preference for experience supporting medical claims operations, payment integrity programs, and related healthcare administrative processes.
- • Day to day, the Scrum Master applies Agile values and practices to plan and execute work across sprint and program increment cycles, serves as a servant leader for scrum teams, coaches team members and stakeholders on Agile mindset, facilitates core Agile ceremonies, partners with Product Owners on backlog readiness and prioritization, tracks delivery progress using tools like Jira, coordinates system demos and release readiness, manages risks and dependencies, prepares status updates for stakeholders, and ensures alignment with enterprise governance and compliance standards.
- • The role sits within The Cigna Group, specifically supporting AAPS initiatives focused on improving claims accuracy, reducing waste and fraud, and modernizing payment integrity workflows through automation and technology-enabled solutions, working closely with Product Managers, Product Owners, business SMEs, and technical delivery teams across multiple teams, systems, and stakeholders.
- • In this role, the person can develop deep expertise in healthcare payment integrity and claims processing, strengthen their ability to bridge business and technical domains, grow as an agile coach and servant leader, gain experience in program and project management beyond standard Scrum, and drive impact on large-scale automation and modernization initiatives that improve healthcare operations.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree or higher strongly preferred or equivalent work experience required.
- • 3+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, Agile Project Manager, or similar delivery leadership role.
- • Agile and/or Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, SAFe, or equivalent) preferred.
- • Experience supporting health insurance, medical claims, payment integrity, or related healthcare business domains strongly preferred.
- • Hands-on experience using Agile delivery tools (e.g., Jira) to manage sprint-based and hybrid delivery models.
- • Strong working knowledge of Agile methodologies, principles, and frameworks (Scrum, Kanban).
