📋 Description

• • As a Lead Engineer (SDE III) on the WhatsApp Voice team at HighLevel Inc., you will play a critical role in shaping the voice communication capabilities of an AI-powered business operating system that supports over 1 million businesses across 150+ countries.
• • Day to day, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems using Node.js and MongoDB, troubleshoot and resolve critical voice service issues such as carrier-level call blocking and SIP 603 errors, optimize performance of distributed systems handling over 2.5 billion message events daily, and collaborate with product managers to ensure exceptional user experiences at scale.
• • You will join a global, remote-first engineering team of over 2,000 members across 10+ countries, operating within HighLevel’s LC Phone Voice System, which enables voice calling, IVR, SIP, and other telephony features for SMBs, agencies, and entrepreneurs.
• • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in distributed systems, platform stability, and scalability while contributing to systems that power over 4 billion API hits and 250 terabytes of data daily, directly impacting the reliability and growth of a platform that has generated over $7 billion in ecosystem value.
