  • • As a SEM Manager at Forbes Advisor, you will be a pivotal member of the Performance Marketing team, taking ownership of driving success within one of our key business verticals.

  • • Reporting directly to the SEM Lead, you will be instrumental in shaping and executing our paid search strategy, ensuring optimal performance and growth.
  • • You will embody a dual approach, leveraging strong managerial skills to lead and develop a team of search specialists, while also maintaining a hands-on involvement in the day-to-day execution and optimization of our paid search campaigns.
  • • Your primary accountability will be to achieve and exceed ambitious performance targets for your designated channel, consistently driving revenue and profit growth.
  • • A key aspect of your role will involve analyzing and articulating performance against targets, providing clear, concise, and insightful management commentary to leadership and other stakeholders.
  • • You will be responsible for directing and empowering your team members, guiding them in the development and implementation of optimal tactics and strategies to achieve our commercial priorities.
  • • This includes defining both short-term tactical plans and long-term strategic roadmaps, and ensuring their effective execution with the support of your direct reports.
  • • You will collaborate closely with your team to foster a culture of continuous improvement, developing and implementing a robust testing roadmap for your categories.
  • • This roadmap will focus on identifying innovative approaches, quickly rolling out successful tests, and effectively communicating learnings and wins across the wider team.
  • • Staying ahead of the curve is crucial; you will be expected to maintain an up-to-date understanding of the latest search engine algorithm updates, PPC industry trends, and emerging best practices.
  • • You will leverage data-driven insights from comprehensive analysis to identify new opportunities for performance optimization and recommend strategic adjustments.
  • • A critical part of your leadership will be to review and advise your team on findings from monthly account audits, ensuring that all recommended actions are implemented promptly and effectively.
  • • You will be encouraged to generate innovative ideas that challenge existing methodologies and help reshape our paid search best practices.
  • • Building strong, collaborative relationships with the Business Development team will be essential, working together to enhance and expand our owned categories.
  • • In terms of capability development, you will directly manage one or more search specialists, providing consistent guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback through regular one-on-one meetings and formal performance reviews.
  • • You will cultivate a strong coaching and development mindset within your team, leading by example and fostering an environment where continuous learning and growth are prioritized.
  • • You will strategically balance the demands of short-term commercial operations with long-term capability development initiatives, such as the testing roadmap.
  • • Delivering or facilitating targeted training and development programs for your team will be a key responsibility, ensuring they possess the skills and knowledge to excel.
  • • You will set clear Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) for your team and conduct thorough quarterly reviews to track progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • • Ultimately, you will ensure that your team consistently manages their paid search accounts to the highest possible standard, upholding Forbes Advisor's commitment to excellence.
