- • As a Senior Account Executive based in London, you will lead the expansion and scaling of Marqeta’s most impactful partnerships across fintech, financial institutions, banking, and embedded finance businesses, driving revenue growth and strategic market penetration in Europe.
- • Day to day, you will cultivate and manage executive-level relationships, originate and shepherd complex sales opportunities from lead to close, collaborate with Product, Legal, Compliance, and Delivery teams to define tailored solutions, and lead contracting negotiations while leveraging deep technical expertise to articulate Marqeta’s value proposition.
- • You will join Marqeta’s European Sales team, a strategic unit focused on scaling the company’s footprint in Europe by targeting large-scale fintechs, digital and traditional banks, and embedded finance innovators seeking to launch, scale, and evolve their card programmes.
- • In this role, you will develop advanced expertise in complex B2B sales cycles, deepen your understanding of the payments and issuer-processing ecosystem, sharpen financial modelling and deal structuring skills, and become a trusted advisor to C-suite stakeholders while contributing directly to Marqeta’s vision for global expansion.
🎯 Requirements
- • Minimum of 10+ years of sales experience, ideally within payments, fintech, or complex B2B technology.
- • Mandatory deep understanding of the payments ecosystem, with demonstrable experience in issuing and card programme ecosystems; applicants without this background will not be considered.
- • Proven ability to evaluate and model complex deal structures and financial proposals, with strong financial acumen suited to high-value enterprise sales.
- • Superior communication and presentation skills, with confidence engaging C-suite executives and entrepreneurs as the face of Marqeta in strategic partnerships.
- • Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously, prioritise effectively, and deliver results under aggressive schedules while working cross-functionally.
