  • • Senior Account Executive - Public Sector (SLED) role focused on driving growth in State, Local, and Education markets by selling New Relic’s observability platform to government and education organizations.
  • • Day-to-day responsibilities include developing territory and account plans, managing pipelines through existing accounts and new logo acquisitions, providing accurate Salesforce forecasts using MEDDPIC, conducting product demonstrations, engaging senior government executives, collaborating with Marketing, Engineering, Sales Operations, and Finance teams, and building relationships with FSIs and VARs to expand reach.
  • • New Relic is a global innovator in observability, building an intelligent platform that empowers companies to thrive in an AI-first world by providing deep insight into complex systems; the company is expanding its footprint and seeks passionate individuals to help optimize digital applications for top-tier organizations.
  • • In this role, you will achieve over-quota performance, master complex public sector sales cycles, deepen expertise in enterprise SaaS sales, strengthen cross-functional collaboration, and become a trusted advisor to government leaders on cloud modernization and DevOps initiatives.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 8+ years of field sales experience selling enterprise software or business technology to State, Local government agencies, and Education institutions
  • • Bachelor’s degree required
  • • Proven track record of exceeding sales goals through organic growth and new logo acquisition
  • • Experience selling application, monitoring, or cloud-related complex software solutions
  • • Demonstrated experience with data management and analysis
  • • Ability to forecast and manage sales expenses
