- ⢠The Senior Aviation Account Manager plays a critical role in managing and servicing a specialized book of aviation clients, ensuring accurate policy administration, timely renewals, and strong carrier relationships to support risk mitigation and client retention in a high-exposure industry.
- ⢠This role directly contributes to the profitability and reputation of One80 Intermediaries by driving renewal success, identifying cross-sell opportunities, and maintaining compliance with E&O and aviation underwriting standards while mentoring junior team members.
- ⢠Day-to-day responsibilities include leading renewal strategy and executionâconducting exposure and loss analysis, preparing applications, negotiating with carriers, and binding coverage for middle market and large/complex aviation accounts.
- ⢠The role involves managing end-to-end account servicing: reviewing policies, endorsements, audits, cancellations, and invoices for accuracy; processing aircraft additions/deletions, pilot approvals, and hangar moves; and issuing certificates and other required documentation.
- ⢠The Senior Account Manager ensures proper policy and billing setup in the agency management system, coordinates carrier invoicing, and supports various billing cycles (weekly, monthly, quarterly, reporter) while managing receivables, payables, and reconciliations.
- ⢠Acts as the primary client contact for service requests, coordinating with internal and third-party teams to resolve issues related to policy changes, claims, and operational updates, while maintaining strong relationships with aviation carriers, MGAs, and wholesalers.
- ⢠Supports clients through the claims process by reporting losses and liaising with adjusters, and mentors junior Account Managers to uphold consistent service standards and best practices.
- ⢠Contributes to market strategy by supporting the âFewer & Strongerâ initiative, collaborating with underwriters to secure optimal terms, pricing, and coverageâespecially for high-limit or complex risks.
- ⢠Reviews carrier and wholesaler contracts for compliance, assists in updating retail agent agreements, and ensures all documentation adheres to E&O and aviation underwriting standards.
- ⢠Drives corporate citizenship initiatives by championing accountability, cross-functional collaboration, and high performance, leading special projects that enhance team capability and organizational growth.
- ⢠Works within a dynamic, nationally recognized brokerage firm that values innovation, professional development, and ethical practices, with a strong commitment to ESG and workplace excellence.

đŻ Requirements
- ⢠5+ years of experience in property and casualty brokerage, with at least 3 years focused specifically on aviation insurance.
- ⢠Deep technical knowledge of aviation insurance coverages including hull, liability, war risks, hangar keepers, products liability, and related specialty exposures.
- ⢠Active insurance license required for the state of California or ability to obtain.
- ⢠Ability to read and interpret aviation-specific documents such as pilot records, training logs, aircraft specifications, and hangar agreements.
- ⢠Strong analytical, interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills, with proven ability to manage high-pressure situations professionally.
- ⢠Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with aviation carriers, MGAs, and wholesalers.
