- • The Senior Account Manager oversees projects within a vertical account team to ensure quality, continuity, and tactical alignment while leading high-profile projects from client initiation through project manager and cross-functional teams. This role is critical to delivering healthcare communications and marketing solutions for pharmaceutical and biotech clients, ensuring strategic objectives are met and client expectations exceeded.
- • Day to day, the Senior Account Manager ensures quality and consistency across multiple tactics led by internal and external partners, provides oversight and consultation to Account Managers on project execution, acts as the in-house client by communicating expectations to cross-functional teams, serves as the Customer Management Office (CMO) liaison, provides invoicing and budget status updates, reviews job scope changes and closeouts, drives strategic partnerships through deep knowledge of client products and objectives, leads strategic brainstorming and annual planning sessions, creates proposals, partners with finance and project managers on budget development, supervises projects to meet tactical and strategic goals, ensures compliance with policies and industry standards, executes client status meetings with agendas and follow-ups, monitors project scope and communicates changes, provides final approval on deliverables, develops and communicates status reports, and manages project-related risks and issues in partnership with project managers.

- • In this role, the Senior Account Manager will develop leadership and strategic account management skills, deepen expertise in pharmaceutical and biotech marketing, enhance cross-functional collaboration and client relationship management, gain experience in budget development and financial oversight, strengthen project lifecycle management from initiation to closeout, and contribute to organic growth opportunities by identifying buying signals and aligning Avant capabilities with client needs. 🎯 Requirements
- • BA/BS or equivalent required
- • 3-4 years of team leadership experience required
- • 3-4 years of client/customer management experience required
- • 2+ years in pharmaceutical sales/marketing preferred
- • 2+ years’ experience in strategic planning preferred
- • Leadership experience in a corporate, marketing, or life sciences environment preferred
