đź“‹ Description

  • • Embark on a pivotal role as a Senior Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) at Onemagnify Inc., a position designed to inject significant analytical horsepower into our financial operations. This role is not merely about reporting numbers; it's about driving strategic financial discipline through robust driver-based forecasting, sophisticated scenario modeling, and rigorous KPI governance. You will be instrumental in eliminating the burden of manual reporting, ensuring our financial processes are streamlined, accurate, and forward-looking. This position is execution-critical to sustaining our forecasting discipline and providing actionable insights that empower senior leadership to make informed decisions.
  • • Your primary responsibility will be to meticulously support the maintenance and enhancement of our revenue and expense models. This involves ensuring these models accurately reflect current business performance and future projections, incorporating all relevant variables and assumptions. You will be the custodian of our rolling forecast datasets, ensuring they are consistently updated, accurate, and readily available for analysis. This continuous process is vital for maintaining agility and responsiveness to market dynamics.
  • • A key aspect of your role will be to prepare insightful variance analysis. We emphasize understanding the underlying drivers of financial performance, not just the magnitude of the differences. You will delve deep into the 'why' behind variances, providing qualitative and quantitative explanations that go beyond simple delta reporting. This analytical rigor will enable proactive identification of trends and potential issues.
  • • You will play a crucial role in assisting with liquidity sensitivity modeling. This involves assessing the impact of various economic scenarios and business decisions on our cash flow and overall financial health. Your contributions will help the company navigate financial uncertainties and optimize its liquidity position.
  • • A significant part of your contribution will be dedicated to supporting dashboard automation and ensuring data hygiene. You will work towards reducing manual effort in reporting by leveraging technology and best practices to automate data collection, processing, and visualization. Maintaining the integrity and accuracy of our financial data is paramount, and you will be responsible for identifying and rectifying data quality issues proactively.
  • • Furthermore, you will be tasked with meticulously documenting all forecasting assumptions and maintaining detailed change logs. This documentation is essential for transparency, auditability, and ensuring consistency in our financial planning processes. It provides a clear record of how forecasts are developed and modified over time.
  • • Success in this role within the first 12 months will be measured by tangible improvements in our financial processes. We envision forecast updates occurring seamlessly, free from the chaos often associated with manual spreadsheet management. Variance analysis will be consistently driver-based and forward-looking, providing strategic insights rather than historical recaps. Data integrity issues will be flagged and addressed early, preventing downstream problems. Ultimately, your work will lead to a reduced manual dependency on senior leadership, freeing them to focus on strategic initiatives.
  • • The ideal candidate profile includes 4–7 years of experience in FP&A or a related financial modeling role. You should possess strong proficiency in Excel and experience with financial planning tools. A detail-oriented approach combined with a systems mindset is crucial for success, enabling you to understand how different financial components interact and how to optimize processes. We are looking for someone who is curious and proactive, demonstrating initiative in identifying opportunities for improvement and driving analytical insights, rather than passively reporting data. This is a hands-on role for a model operator, not just a slide builder, requiring a deep engagement with the financial models and data.
