- • Report to the Manager, Global Tax Reporting, focusing on the company’s financial reporting obligations and project initiatives in accordance with ASC 740.
- • Assist with the quarterly and annual global tax reporting process, including current and deferred tax calculations, tax attributes, valuation allowances, uncertain tax positions, tax account reconciliations, SOX documentation, and financial statement presentations/disclosures in Forms 10-Q and 10-K.
- • Conduct trend analysis and forecasting of the global effective tax rate to support financial planning and reporting.
- • Collaborate with internal teams across Stanley Black & Decker to enhance effectiveness and engagement in tax reporting processes.
- • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within the tax accounting function.
- • Work directly with internal and external auditors during interim and annual audit cycles to ensure compliance and accurate financial reporting.
- • Research and analyze the tax implications of new accounting pronouncements and legislative developments to maintain regulatory compliance.
- • Maintain accurate and timely documentation for all global tax reporting activities in alignment with ASC 740 standards.
- • Support the preparation of tax-related disclosures and supplemental schedules required for SEC filings and internal reporting.
- • Participate in cross-functional initiatives to streamline tax data flow, improve reporting efficiency, and enhance control environments.
- • Apply advanced analytical skills to interpret complex tax data and translate findings into clear financial reporting outputs.
- • Ensure all tax reporting deliverables meet internal deadlines and external regulatory requirements with a high degree of accuracy.
- • Leverage Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint to prepare reports, analyses, and presentations for senior leadership and audit teams.
- • Maintain awareness of U.S. Federal, State, and International corporate tax rules and their application to the company’s global operations.
- • Support the integration of tax data from enterprise systems such as SAP, Hyperion, or HFM into the tax reporting workflow.
- • Contribute to the continuous improvement of tax accounting procedures by recommending enhancements based on industry best practices.

- • Demonstrate strong organizational skills to manage multiple concurrent projects and deadlines in a fast-paced, global environment.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or working towards CPA
- • 3-4 years of tax experience with emphasis in income tax accounting, preferably within public accounting or publicly traded U.S.-based multinational companies
- • Strong working knowledge of ASC 740 Accounting for Income Taxes
- • Strong knowledge of U.S. Federal, State, and International corporate tax concepts
- • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
