- • As a Senior Analytics Manager - Customer Behaviour at M-KOPA Holdings Limited in Accra, you will apply your expertise in predictive modeling and customer behaviour analytics to drive financial inclusion by building credit scoring models that unlock access to smartphones, loans, and financial security for millions of underserved Africans with no traditional credit history.
- • You will lead the development and deployment of alternative data-driven credit risk models, design and analyse A/B tests to optimise credit policies, and translate complex behavioural patterns into strategic recommendations that directly impact portfolio performance, profitability, and customer outcomes across M-KOPA’s rapidly growing consumer finance products.
- • You will join an established but evolving Credit Risk & Analytics team that partners closely with Product, Risk, Operations, and Finance to shape credit strategy at scale, leveraging your analytical rigour to influence decisions that power financial inclusion for 3 million active customers and 200,000 new users monthly.
- • In this role, you will deepen your impact by moving beyond traditional analytics into high-stakes credit decisioning, gaining domain expertise in emerging market finance while applying your existing skills in predictive modeling, experimentation, and causal inference to real-world problems that affect livelihoods across Africa.
- • You will build automated dashboards, develop data pipelines for credit decisioning, monitor model performance, and present findings to executives and credit committees — ensuring your work is not only technically rigorous but also strategically actionable and mission-aligned with M-KOPA’s goal of driving responsible financial inclusion.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Actuarial Science, Economics, Mathematics, Econometrics, or another quantitative field
- • 4+ years of experience analysing customer/user behaviour patterns and building predictive models (e.g., churn, retention, conversion, segmentation) that influenced business decisions
- • Proficiency in Python OR R for data analysis and modeling (including pandas, scikit-learn, statsmodels, tidyverse, or caret) and SQL for data extraction (joins, CTEs, window functions)
- • Hands-on experience building and deploying classification/regression models in production, not just academic exercises
- • Proven ability to design or analyse A/B tests, randomised experiments, or causal inference studies with understanding of statistical rigour and impact measurement
