  • • You will be instrumental in ASIC energy evaluation, meticulously analyzing and optimizing power consumption at the chip level to ensure our GPUs and other accelerators meet the highest standards of performance per watt.
  • • Contribute to the strategic development of power architecture, designing innovative solutions that minimize both dynamic and leakage power dissipation across diverse use cases and operating conditions.
  • • Engage in low power development, implementing advanced techniques to reduce energy consumption without compromising computational power, a critical factor in today's power-constrained computing landscape.
  • • Play a key role in power-aware verification, ensuring that the designed power features function correctly and efficiently under all anticipated scenarios, employing sophisticated methodologies to catch potential issues early in the design cycle.
  • • Drive the adoption and refinement of advanced power methodologies, including industry-standard UPF (Unified Power Format) methodologies, to enable robust and efficient power management across complex ASIC designs.
  • • Participate in the critical phase of power feature bring-up on silicon, meticulously validating the functionality and performance of power management features once the chip is manufactured.
  • • Conduct post-Si power correlation, comparing simulation and emulation results with actual silicon behavior to fine-tune power models and identify areas for future improvement.
  • • Support comprehensive power analysis efforts by contributing to the architecture, creation, verification, and correlation of power estimation models and tools, which are essential for predicting and optimizing power consumption throughout the design process.
  • • Be an integral part of the team that architects and builds sophisticated system-level power features, specifically designed to optimize dynamic and leakage power dissipation for a wide array of applications and workloads.
  • • Undertake rigorous power verification, encompassing structural, functional, and power-aware verification of all power features within NVIDIA products.
  • • This involves developing comprehensive test plans, writing detailed test cases, and constructing robust test bench components such as monitors, assertions, and coverage points to ensure thorough validation.
  • • You will own the verification convergence across RTL (Register-Transfer Level), Gates, and Silicon, ensuring a seamless transition from design to physical implementation and final product.
  • • Validate the efficiency of implemented power features directly on silicon, conducting in-depth studies to quantify their effectiveness and identify opportunities for further optimization.
  • • Contribute directly to Performance/Watt improvement ideas, leveraging your expertise to push the boundaries of energy efficiency in computing hardware.
  • • Assist in the development of innovative power management solutions, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technological advancement in energy efficiency across NVIDIA's entire product portfolio.
