📋 Description
- • Lead full-cycle audit engagements for commercial and non-profit clients across diverse industries, from initiation through final delivery, with full ownership of quality and timelines.
- • Supervise and mentor two junior audit staff members, providing guidance on audit procedures, documentation standards, and professional development.
- • Manage a portfolio of 15–20+ concurrent audit engagements, adjusting workload dynamically to accommodate seasonal peaks and client demands.
- • Execute audit procedures using AuditFile and AuditSight software, ensuring accurate data collection, analysis, and reporting in compliance with professional standards.
- • Collaborate with the internal tax team on integrated client engagements, contributing to holistic financial reporting and compliance strategies.
- • Perform additional accounting tasks, including tax preparation and review, particularly during slower audit seasons to support firm-wide objectives.
- • Maintain regular communication with audit leadership through check-ins every other day to provide updates, escalate issues, and align on priorities.
- • Stay current with evolving U.S. auditing standards, regulatory requirements, and emerging best practices in audit methodology.
- • Actively adopt and integrate AI and automation tools into audit workflows, including Claude, DataSnipper, Karbon, AccountGroove, Liscio, Gruntworx, ProSeries, and similar platforms.
- • Demonstrate adaptability to a technology-driven audit environment by quickly learning and implementing new software tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- • Uphold the highest ethical standards and ownership mentality in all client interactions and internal processes.
- • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients and internal teams, ensuring transparency, responsiveness, and constructive collaboration.
- • Proactively identify opportunities to improve audit processes through technology adoption and workflow optimization.
- • Work within Central Time Zone hours to ensure seamless coordination with the Texas-based team and clients.
- • Maintain active CPA license in good standing and ensure all professional continuing education requirements are met.
🎯 Requirements
- • CPA license (active and in good standing)
- • Minimum 5+ years of audit experience with a mid-to-large accounting firm
- • Proven ability to lead audit engagements independently
- • Experience supervising junior staff
- • Fluent in English
- • Strong adaptability and willingness to work in a technology-driven audit environment
