• • Rootstock Labs is on a mission to make Bitcoin accessible and functional for everyone, driving this vision through the expansion of Rootstock (RSK) and the RIF ecosystem. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Analyst to join our dynamic team, focusing on Product Flows and Tokenomics. This is a pivotal role based in Europe or South America, offering significant product leverage where strategic vision is transformed into tangible, implementable product realities. You will be instrumental in designing end-to-end user journeys, embedding tokenomics and liquidity considerations from the outset, and ensuring these elements are integral to the user experience.
• • The RIF (Rootstock Infrastructure Framework) is designed to accelerate the adoption of Bitcoin Decentralized Finance (DeFi) on Rootstock. It achieves this by powering community incentives, essential infrastructure, and interoperability solutions. This includes managing rewards, governance mechanisms via Rootstock Collective, and critical infrastructure components like USDRIF and RNS (Rootstock Name Service). Your work will directly influence how we shape user interactions, strategically allocate resources, and accurately measure the drivers of long-term ecosystem adoption.
• • You will play a key role in understanding complex on-chain activities and user behaviors, translating these insights into actionable product decisions that enhance usability, refine incentive structures, and foster sustainable growth. We are committed to building products that empower individuals to participate safely and meaningfully in decentralized finance. Your analytical prowess will be crucial in identifying friction points, optimizing user journeys, and ensuring our products meet the evolving needs of the DeFi landscape.
• • The core mandate for this role is to make RIF utility tangible and easily recognizable. This involves delivering a flagship real-world use case, akin to a 'Steve Madden' moment for the ecosystem, alongside a family of complementary use cases. All these initiatives will be underpinned by well-defined user flows that are intuitive and practical for everyday use.
• • Key responsibilities include delivering canonical end-to-end flow definitions that development squads can readily implement. This involves meticulously detailing states, transitions, potential failure modes, and edge cases. A critical aspect of this role is designing tokenomics and liquidity mechanisms directly into these flows from the initial stages of development, ensuring they are not an afterthought but a foundational element.
• • You will be tasked with driving measurable improvements in user adoption rates, enhancing user comprehension of complex concepts, and reducing drop-off and failure points within user journeys. This requires a data-driven approach, leveraging telemetry and market signals to inform prioritization decisions, moving beyond subjective opinions to evidence-based strategies.
• • A significant learning opportunity in this role involves building Bitcoin DeFi user journeys that remain coherent and functional even under real-world liquidity constraints. You will learn to make token utility legible and understandable to a broad user base without oversimplifying or diluting its value. Furthermore, you will master the use of telemetry and market signals to drive product prioritization with concrete data, ensuring efficient resource allocation and strategic focus.
• • By the end of your first 90 days, you will be able to clearly articulate the RIF north star and its key initiatives. You will have delivered canonical flow specifications for the most business-critical user journeys. Your analysis will be a required input for squad build decisions, and your insights into tokenomics and liquidity will directly inform product leadership decisions across the entire RIF product area, establishing your influence and impact from the outset.
• • You will translate RIF strategy and ongoing initiatives into detailed, end-to-end business flows, meticulously documenting states, transitions, failure modes, and edge cases. You will define flow-level requirements that are implementation-ready, specifying inputs, outputs, constraints, dependencies, and acceptance criteria, thereby minimizing ambiguity and rework for engineering teams.
• • Identifying and quantifying friction points in user flows is paramount. This includes analyzing challenges in onboarding, user comprehension, telemetry gaps, and the operational and support burden. You will own these issues through to resolution, establishing measurable paths to success and clearly defined criteria.
• • You will define success metrics for each critical flow and collaborate with the Data Intelligence team to instrument telemetry that provides deep insights into adoption patterns, drop-off rates, and liquidity bottlenecks. Modeling the impact of tokenomics within key flows, including user incentives, costs, rewards, and governance touchpoints, and flagging potential second-order effects will be a core function.
• • Making liquidity a first-class design constraint is essential. You will map liquidity dependencies, identify potential failure points, and devise mitigation options across both partner and internal protocols. Ensuring tokenomics and liquidity considerations are integrated into every relevant flow specification from the beginning, rather than being retrofitted, is a key objective.
• • You will act as an expert on your market, staying abreast of key sector trends and competitor offerings relevant to your specific products. Translating successful patterns observed elsewhere into concrete flow improvements will be a vital contribution. Benchmarking market-leading patterns outside of Rootstock and RIF, and translating these into pragmatic recommendations, will provide structured decision input to Product leadership for cross-product tokenomics and prioritization trade-offs.
• • You will assist in setting team OKRs that align with company and group objectives, working closely with Product Managers and Product Directors. Establishing clear, shared terminology and mental models across Product, Engineering, Data Intelligence, Legal, Marketing, and Finance will foster seamless collaboration. You will elevate the quality of written artifacts, producing concise specifications, flow diagrams, and decision memos that reduce ambiguity and rework, prioritizing quality and clarity at velocity.
