Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Lead end-to-end diagnostic analysis of current Finance workflows within the Group Finance team, identifying manual activities and workarounds in the legacy PeopleSoft environment.
- • Critically evaluate Finance processes to determine which workflows should be immediately re-engineered as "no-regrets" efficiency improvements versus those to be documented for future ERP implementation.
- • Collaborate with cross-functional business and finance stakeholders to build consensus on future-state processes that align commercial activity with financial integrity and control.
- • Elicit, document, and translate business and finance requirements from stakeholders into clear inputs for Engineering and product teams, distinguishing between immediate execution needs and future ERP scope.
- • Map data lineage and integrity across multiple systems—including Salesforce, billing platforms, and revenue recognition tools—to ensure accurate, clean, and auditable financial data flows.
- • Assess the potential for AI-driven automation in Finance processes while maintaining strict audit rigor and compliance standards.
- • Conduct impact assessments to evaluate how proposed upstream changes affect financial controls, auditability, and future ERP migration risks, avoiding redundant or conflicting fixes.
- • Drive transformational thinking by leading creative workshops to unblock stalled processes and reimagine optimal future-state workflows.
- • Support the foundational phase of a core Finance platform replacement programme by ensuring data structures and workflows are simplified and optimized prior to ERP migration.
- • Act as a strategic bridge between commercial operations and financial reporting, ensuring data capture at the point of sale directly supports accurate General Ledger entries and month-end close.
- • Maintain focus on high-level requirement definition and process design, without being embedded in technical delivery or system implementation.
- • Work within a hybrid model requiring 3+ days per week in the London office, supporting in-person collaboration with Finance and cross-functional teams.
🎯 Requirements
- • Experience in the pre-implementation or process optimization phase of a Finance Transformation, ideally involving legacy ERP replacement
- • Demonstrated expertise in Finance domain workflows, including billing, revenue recognition, and General Ledger processes
- • Proven ability to identify "no-regrets" process efficiencies in complex, manual environments and prioritize immediate vs. future-state actions
- • Expert stakeholder navigation skills to align diverse agendas across business and finance teams toward unified decisions
- • Strong requirement elicitation capabilities with clear linkage between business strategy and financial needs
- • Strategic adaptability to operate effectively in a high-level, programme-focused role amid concurrent RFP and business case activities
🏖️ Benefits
- • Highly competitive pension or 401(k) plan
- • Private health insurance
- • 24/7 access to counselling and wellbeing resources via Employee Assistance Program
- • Work From Anywhere program allowing up to 25 days of remote work per year
- • Generous annual and parental leave, plus dedicated days off for volunteering and moving home
- • Free access to all The Economist content, including digital subscriptions, apps, and podcasts
