📋 Description

• Senior Business Analyst role focused on health insurance domain within a leading global insurtech platform, driving digital transformation for enterprise clients by translating complex business needs into technical solutions
• Collaborate with clients and technical teams to identify business problems, design process improvements, and ensure system modifications align with strategic goals in a fully remote, international environment

• Develop expertise in insurtech domains, Agile methodologies, and end-to-end project lifecycle while contributing to high-impact initiatives that make insurance accessible and digital for underserved populations globally
• What the person will do day to day:
• Work with clients and technical resources to identify business challenges and design analytical solutions that address core operational inefficiencies in health insurance processes
• Plan and design simple to semi-complex business processes and system modifications, ensuring alignment with client objectives and regulatory requirements in the health insurance sector
• Gather business requirements through structured workshops, interviews, and documentation reviews, then analyze, validate, and translate complex health insurance workflows into clear, actionable specifications
• Create detailed business requirements documents and user stories that serve as the foundation for development, testing, and implementation of system enhancements
• Develop complex test case scenarios and oversee UAT, QA, and release activities to verify that all client requirements are accurately implemented and functioning as intended
• Assist in time estimation for project tasks, monitor progress against timelines, and support coordination between business and technical teams to ensure timely delivery
• Aid in updating and maintaining process and procedural documentation to reflect current state operations and support knowledge transfer and compliance
• Develop foundational understanding of technical development cycles for web and mobile applications to effectively communicate with engineering teams and assess feasibility of proposed solutions
• Support defect analysis, change management, and release coordination during QA, UAT, and deployment phases to ensure smooth transitions and minimal disruption
• May plan, allocate, and monitor work of junior business analysts, providing guidance on best practices in requirements gathering, documentation, and stakeholder engagement
• Apply Agile and Scrum principles to prioritize work, break down epics into user stories, and facilitate sprint planning and retrospectives to drive continuous improvement
• Demonstrate sound judgment and decision-making by interpreting system data and workflows to surface actionable insights that support strategic business decisions
• What the person can learn or achieve in this role:
• Deepen domain expertise in health insurance operations, regulatory frameworks, and digital transformation trends within the fast-growing insurtech landscape
• Master end-to-end business analysis lifecycle — from requirement elicitation to validation — while gaining hands-on experience with Agile frameworks, Jira, Confluence, and documentation tools in a global enterprise setting
• Enhance stakeholder management and communication skills by interfacing with C-level executives, IT teams, and end-users across diverse cultural and geographic contexts
• Build leadership capabilities through potential mentorship of junior analysts and contribution to process standardization and center-of-excellence initiatives
• Position yourself at the forefront of insurance innovation, contributing to scalable, no-code solutions that empower insurers to launch products faster and serve customers more effectively

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst
• A degree in Business, IT, or a relevant field
• Previous experience working in the health insurance industry is required
• Experience in an Agile and/or Scrum environment is a must
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Business analysis skills including facilitation, process documentation, requirements gathering, and user acceptance testing
