- • We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Camera & Vision Engineer to spearhead the development and refinement of camera-based perception capabilities within our cutting-edge robotics systems. This is a deeply technical, hands-on role for an individual who possesses a profound understanding of camera hardware intricacies, expert-level ISP tuning, and the application of modern computer vision and machine learning techniques. The ideal candidate will excel at transforming raw sensor data into reliable, real-time perception outputs that are critical for robotic navigation and interaction.
- • In this pivotal role, you will assume ownership of the entire camera perception pipeline, from the initial evaluation and selection of sensors and optics through to the final production deployment. Your responsibilities will encompass the meticulous tuning and optimization of image signal processing (ISP) pipelines to achieve superior image quality, accurate color reproduction, effective HDR, noise reduction, and low latency, while ensuring precise synchronization across multiple cameras.
- • You will be instrumental in developing, integrating, and optimizing a wide array of computer vision and machine learning-based algorithms. This includes, but is not limited to, implementing and refining models for robust object detection, precise tracking, accurate segmentation, and advanced depth estimation techniques utilizing mono, stereo, and multi-view camera configurations. Furthermore, you will contribute to the development of sophisticated optical flow and motion estimation algorithms, crucial for understanding dynamic environments.
- • A key aspect of this role involves close collaboration with our dedicated perception, ML, and software engineering teams. You will work synergistically to ensure seamless integration of camera data with other essential sensor modalities, such as LiDAR, IMU, and radar, creating a comprehensive and robust sensor fusion framework. This cross-functional teamwork is vital for building a resilient and scalable perception stack that underpins our robotic systems.
- • You will design, implement, and deploy real-time vision systems tailored for embedded and edge compute platforms. This requires a strong aptitude for optimizing algorithms and ML models for performance-critical applications, ensuring efficient inference on resource-constrained hardware. Your expertise will be crucial in pushing the boundaries of what's possible in edge AI for robotics.
- • Staying abreast of the latest advancements in vision models, tools, and frameworks is paramount. 🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related technical field.
- • 7+ years of professional experience in camera engineering, computer vision, or perception system development.
- • Strong, demonstrable experience with camera sensors, optics, and image signal processing (ISP) tuning.
- • Deep theoretical and practical understanding of core computer vision and machine learning fundamentals.
- • Proven hands-on experience in developing, training, and deploying machine learning-based vision models.
- • Proficient software engineering skills, particularly in C++ and/or Python, with a focus on production-quality code.
- • Experience integrating complex perception algorithms into real-world, production systems.
