- • Own the full life-cycle of complex, high-value claims from first notice of loss through final resolution, acting as the single point of accountability for customers, attorneys, and internal stakeholders.
- • Investigate, evaluate, and negotiate settlements on multi-line claims involving general liability, property, professional liability, and specialty coverages, ensuring compliance with state regulations and company best-practice standards.
- • Leverage advanced data analytics and predictive modeling tools to triage severity, identify fraud indicators, and optimize reserve accuracy within 5% of ultimate settlement value.
- • Partner with underwriters, actuaries, and risk engineering teams to provide real-time feedback on loss trends, emerging risks, and policy language gaps that drive profitable growth and reduce future loss ratios.
- • Lead virtual cross-functional war-room sessions during catastrophic events, coordinating field adjusters, restoration vendors, and legal counsel to deliver seamless customer experiences while containing costs.
- • Mentor a pod of 3–5 junior adjusters and claims analysts through structured coaching, monthly ride-alongs, and quarterly performance calibration sessions that accelerate their path to promotion.
- • Design and deliver micro-learning modules on coverage interpretation, negotiation psychology, and regulatory updates that are rolled out enterprise-wide via the company LMS, boosting team NPS by 12 points.
- • Serve as the subject-matter expert in virtual mediations, arbitrations, and trials, presenting clear, defensible file documentation that has contributed to a 92% favorable outcome rate over the past two years.
- • Continuously refine digital claims workflows by piloting AI-driven document ingestion, e-signature platforms, and customer self-service portals that have cut cycle time by 18% and paper usage by 40%.
- • Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives by participating in the Claims DEI Council, hosting quarterly listening sessions, and ensuring equitable settlement practices across all demographics.
- • Travel up to 15% domestically for on-site inspections of large commercial losses, catastrophe response, and strategic vendor summits, with all travel fully expensed and carbon-offset.
🎯 Requirements
- • Active adjuster licenses in home state and ability to obtain non-resident licenses within 90 days of hire.
- • Minimum 7 years of multi-line claims handling experience with at least 3 years managing claims valued at $250K+.
- • Advanced proficiency in Xactimate, Guidewire ClaimCenter, or equivalent claims management systems.
- • Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Business, or related field; CPCU, AIC, or SCLA designations strongly preferred.
- • Demonstrated success negotiating settlements, managing litigation, and presenting expert testimony.
