📋 Description
- • Own and expand a $5–8 million annual sales portfolio for municipal water and wastewater clients across California, translating complex technical challenges into profitable, long-term engagements that advance clean-water outcomes for millions of residents.
- • Build and lead multidisciplinary pursuit teams—engineers, scientists, operations specialists, and financial analysts—ensuring every proposal showcases Woodard & Curran’s full suite of planning, design, construction, and digital water solutions.
- • Cultivate C-suite, public-works director, plant manager, and procurement-level relationships within city, county, and special-district organizations, positioning the firm as the first call for capital improvement, regulatory compliance, and resilience projects.
- • Translate client pain points (aging infrastructure, PFAS, drought, consent decrees) into compelling scopes, schedules, and fee structures; negotiate contracts that balance risk, innovation, and margin while meeting stringent public-agency procurement rules.
- • Map account growth strategies using CRM data, market intelligence, and emerging regulations (e.g., SB 1383, Title 22 reuse) to identify and prioritize $50 million+ pipelines three to five years ahead of RFP release.
- • Collaborate with Marketing to craft white papers, conference presentations, and digital campaigns that elevate Woodard & Curran’s thought leadership in advanced treatment, green infrastructure, and energy recovery.
- • Mentor junior client managers and technical staff in consultative selling, win-theme development, and capture planning, instilling a culture where every project manager thinks like a growth leader.
- • Orchestrate seamless hand-offs from pursuit to delivery, ensuring project teams understand client expectations, KPIs, and political sensitivities, thereby safeguarding profitability and reference-ability.
- • Monitor receivables and invoice milestones, partnering with Finance to resolve disputes quickly and maintain cash flow critical to employee-ownership dividends.
- • Represent the firm at WEF, CWEA, AWWA, and CASA events, chairing technical sessions and hosting client roundtables that deepen relationships and surface next-generation opportunities.
- • Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion in client engagements and internal teams, modeling behaviors that make Woodard & Curran an employer of choice for top talent from all backgrounds.
- • Travel up to 20 % throughout California to meet clients, tour facilities, and lead workshops, leveraging remote-work flexibility to balance field presence with strategic planning.
