📋 Description

  • Serve as a Senior Clinical Affairs Nurse supporting product development and risk management initiatives for PointClickCare’s healthcare technology platform, focusing on long-term and post-acute care settings.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, compliance, and clinical teams to ensure clinical accuracy, safety, and regulatory alignment in product design and updates.
  • Review and evaluate clinical workflows, documentation standards, and risk exposure within the platform to identify potential patient safety concerns and recommend evidence-based improvements.
  • Act as the primary clinical subject matter expert for product teams, translating clinical needs and regulatory requirements into actionable product specifications and user experience enhancements.
  • Contribute to the development and validation of clinical content, including care protocols, assessment tools, and decision support algorithms integrated into the platform.
  • Participate in risk management activities including clinical risk assessments, failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), and post-market surveillance for clinical features.
  • Ensure all product-related clinical materials comply with applicable U.S. healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, CMS guidelines, and state-specific nursing practice standards.
  • Engage with external clinical stakeholders, including providers, nurses, and clinical educators, to gather feedback on product usability and clinical impact.
  • Support clinical validation studies and pilot implementations by designing data collection tools, training materials, and evaluation frameworks.
  • Document and maintain clinical governance records, audit trails, and regulatory submissions related to product changes and clinical risk mitigation strategies.
  • Stay current with evolving clinical best practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory trends in long-term and post-acute care to inform product strategy.
  • Leverage AI-powered tools within the company’s workflow to enhance clinical analysis, streamline documentation review, and improve decision-making efficiency.
  • Communicate complex clinical and regulatory concepts clearly to non-clinical teams, ensuring alignment across departments on patient safety priorities.
  • Represent the clinical perspective in internal reviews, product launches, and stakeholder presentations to advocate for human-first, clinically grounded design.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of clinical affairs processes and documentation standards across the organization.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and data integrity when handling protected health information (PHI) and clinical datasets.
  • Support the company’s mission to accelerate healthcare innovation through AI while ensuring all technological advancements prioritize patient safety and clinical excellence.

🎯 Requirements

  • Current, active, unencumbered RN license in the United States
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical nursing experience in long-term care, post-acute care, or skilled nursing environments
  • Proven experience in clinical risk management, regulatory compliance, or healthcare product development
  • Strong understanding of U.S. healthcare regulations including HIPAA, CMS, and state nursing practice acts
  • Experience working with electronic health records (EHR) or healthcare technology platforms
  • Ability to analyze clinical workflows and translate them into technical requirements for product teams
