📋 Description
- • As a Senior Coach Operations Program Manager at BetterUp, you will be instrumental in shaping and scaling our world-class coaching network, a critical component of our mission to drive human transformation. This role is designed for a strategic thinker and an exceptional executor who thrives on optimizing complex operational systems and fostering a high-performing global network of over 4,000 coaches.
- • You will be a pivotal force in supporting, enabling, and optimizing our expansive coach network, ensuring it not only meets but exceeds the needs of our diverse membership. Your responsibilities will extend to being a thought leader, leveraging deep data analysis and insightful interpretation to evolve network management strategies in alignment with overarching company objectives.
- • A core aspect of your role will involve owning and refining day-to-day operational processes that are the bedrock of our coach network's functionality. You will be empowered to harness the potential of a robust support system, including vendors, cutting-edge automation tools, artificial intelligence, and engineering resources, to drive significant improvements in operational efficiency and scalability.

- • Your day-to-day responsibilities will include monitoring coach capacity across a spectrum of products and languages, identifying critical gaps, and developing proactive staffing strategies in close partnership with Coach Recruiting, Coach Quality, and Sales teams.
- • You will be responsible for setting clear, measurable goals with well-defined KPIs, proactively planning your work, and ensuring alignment of priorities with the overarching team strategy and cross-functional partners. Transparency in renegotiating commitments when necessary will be crucial.
- • Supporting key client launches will involve ensuring a robust coach network and readiness in terms of capacity. This will require conducting thorough data analysis of the coach network and generating actionable plans to guarantee successful client onboarding and ongoing service delivery.
- • You will influence functional strategy by contributing meaningfully to goal-setting conversations, anticipating the impact of business changes on operations, and proactively proposing solutions to prevent potential issues from escalating.
- • You will build and leverage relationships across the entire organization, including with VPs and other senior leaders, to drive sound decision-making and effectively remove operational barriers.
- • Leading with a strong customer lens, you will represent the needs of coaches, members, and partners in all operational decisions, modeling empathy-driven thinking in team discussions and project execution.
- • You will act as a thought leader in developing innovative coach network optimization strategies designed to support the company’s ambitious future growth. This will involve leveraging data analysis and close collaboration with our Coach Science, Coach Quality, and Coach Platform teams.
- • Ultimately, you will be a key architect of the operational excellence that underpins BetterUp's ability to deliver transformative coaching experiences at scale, ensuring our network is robust, efficient, and perfectly aligned with our mission.
🎯 Requirements
- • 7+ years of relevant professional experience in operations, program management, project management, analysis, or strategy.
- • Demonstrated ability to operate strategically and influence across organizational levels, including with senior stakeholders.
- • Proven track record of identifying high-impact opportunities, building alignment, and driving durable improvements across teams or functions.
- • Incredibly data savvy with a high level of proficiency in Google Sheets and Looker. SQL experience is a plus.
- • High levels of technical proficiency to learn new systems/tools and experience leveraging AI for operational efficiency.
- • Strong execution skills, ability to consistently meet timelines, exceed expectations and operate from a sense of urgency, thriving in ambiguity and shifting business needs.
- • Excellent communication skills – can collaborate with and communicate findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences across all levels.
- • A demonstrated ability to think like an owner and make effective prioritization decisions in a dynamic environment.
