- • The Senior Compliance Program Analyst plays a critical role in safeguarding Velera’s operations by ensuring adherence to complex financial regulations and supporting the enterprise-wide Compliance Management System (CMS). This role is essential for mitigating regulatory risk, protecting the organization’s reputation, and enabling sustainable growth in the rapidly evolving payments industry.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include leading the development, monitoring, and testing of regulatory risk assessments, policies, procedures, and training materials; serving as a subject matter expert on compliance matters for internal and external stakeholders; preparing timely compliance reports and due diligence responses; acting as a liaison between business units to collect and retain compliance documentation; presenting findings at Compliance Committee Meetings; developing training resources and conducting departmental sessions; and leading or participating in special projects that support broader business initiatives while maintaining compliance integrity.

- • In this role, the individual will deepen expertise in financial services compliance, particularly in payment systems and consumer protection regulations; gain leadership experience in cross-functional initiatives; enhance skills in risk assessment, policy development, and regulatory reporting; and position themselves as a trusted advisor capable of influencing organizational compliance culture and driving pragmatic risk mitigation strategies.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Law, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- • Seven (7) years of compliance experience, preferably in financial services with banking or credit union background.
- • Three (3) years of experience designing and implementing compliance/CMS frameworks, with preference for experience in consumer protection laws (TILA, ECOA, FCRA, GLBA, UDAAP, etc.) and payment systems.
- • Working knowledge of Reg E and Reg Z required; familiarity with FFIEC, NACHA, OFAC, BSA, Patriot Act, and other federal/state regulations impacting financial institutions preferred.
- • Professional certifications such as CIPP, CPA, CIA, or Regulatory Compliance Manager are preferred.
- • Experience preparing deliverables for executives, committees, and business unit leaders; ability to lead projects and communicate complex compliance concepts clearly.
