- • Lead the end-to-end construction of large-scale, mission-critical AI data centers across the U.S., managing projects from structural build-out through full interior fit-out and operational readiness.
- • Oversee multi-phase construction scopes including civil, structural, envelope, MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing), and interior tenant improvements across multiple buildings within a campus.
- • Direct and coordinate activities of multiple subcontractors, ensuring adherence to safety standards, quality benchmarks, and project timelines.
- • Manage schedules, critical-path planning, budgeting, forecasting, and procurement for complex construction projects with high technical complexity.
- • Lead contract negotiations, vendor management, and change order control to maintain project financial integrity and scope alignment.
- • Coordinate closely with design, engineering, operations, and commissioning teams to ensure seamless integration of construction deliverables with operational requirements.
- • Oversee construction of critical facility components including data halls, MV/LV electrical rooms, mechanical rooms, office spaces, and interior finishes.
- • Ensure full compliance with local, state, and federal building codes, inspections, and permitting processes.
- • Provide executive-level reporting on project progress, risks, cost variances, and mitigation strategies to senior leadership.
- • Maintain rigorous oversight of field issues, resolving conflicts and delays promptly to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
- • Manage construction activities across diverse geographic locations with up to 30% travel required.
- • Implement best practices in project delivery, including scheduling tools such as Procore, Primavera, and MS Project, and documentation platforms like Bluebeam.
- • Drive continuous improvement in construction processes, safety protocols, and quality control measures across all project sites.
- • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align construction timelines with data center commissioning and AI infrastructure deployment schedules.
- • Ensure all construction activities support Crusoe’s energy-first approach to powering AI infrastructure with sustainability and efficiency.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field
- • 7+ years of experience managing large industrial, data center, or complex commercial construction projects
- • Strong experience in both base build and tenant improvement (TI) delivery
- • Deep understanding of structural, mechanical, and electrical systems
- • Advanced scheduling and project management skills using Procore, Primavera, or MS Project
- • Strong leadership, negotiation, and cross-functional communication skills
