Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Senior Content Marketing Manager, Insights & Research at RevenueCat Inc. is a pivotal role responsible for transforming proprietary data and industry developments into authoritative, timely content that positions the company as a trusted voice in the subscription app economy. This role directly impacts how developers, product leaders, and founders understand market shifts, monetization trends, and platform changes — ultimately helping hundreds of millions of end-users and the developers who serve them thrive.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring the app ecosystem for critical news, policy changes (e.g., Apple App Store updates), and emerging monetization trends; writing rapid-response analysis pieces that clarify implications and recommend actions for app teams; leading the editorial and analytical direction of RevenueCat’s flagship annual State of Subscription Apps (SOSA) report in collaboration with the data team; producing ongoing data-driven content throughout the year by turning internal benchmarks into original insights; partnering with content, podcast, and campaign teams to ensure insights are amplified across blogs, newsletters, audio, and launch communications; developing data-backed story ideas and supporting cross-functional contributors like App Growth Experts and external subject matter experts; and contributing to campaign and launch communications as needed, especially during editorial continuity periods such as parental leave coverage.
- • RevenueCat is a remote-first company of over 120 employees across 25 countries, built on values of Customer Obsession, Always Be Shipping, Own It, and Balance. As the default monetization platform for mobile, RevenueCat powers in-app subscriptions for more than 40% of newly shipped subscription apps and processes over $10B in annual purchase volume. The company serves a diverse range of clients — from solo developers in Brazil to enterprise teams like OpenAI’s mobile group — helping them understand, optimize, and grow their revenue through transparent, reliable tools and insightful content.
- • In this role, you will develop deep expertise in the subscription app economy, sharpen your ability to translate complex data into compelling narratives, and become a recognized internal and external authority on app store policies, developer economics, and monetization trends. You will gain hands-on experience leading a flagship research report, shaping cross-channel content strategy, and influencing how a fast-growing tech company communicates its market leadership — all while working with a mission-driven team that values clarity, speed, and intellectual rigor.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of experience in content marketing, journalism, market research, or a similar role requiring strong writing and analytical skills.
- • Demonstrated familiarity with the mobile app ecosystem, including app store policies (e.g., Apple App Store, Google Play), monetization trends, and developer economics.
- • Proven ability to partner with data teams, interpret datasets, and craft data-driven narratives — comfort with data literacy and AI-assisted research tools is essential.
- • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a portfolio showcasing both timely analysis and nuanced, long-form data-heavy reports.
- • Experience producing or contributing to flagship research reports, annual benchmarks, or recurring data-driven editorial series — not just isolated blog posts.
- • Background in data journalism or writing for technical audiences (developers, product managers, founders) without oversimplifying complex topics.
🏖️ Benefits
- • Fully remote work environment with flexibility to operate from anywhere in the Americas.
- • Opportunity to work with a mission-driven team of 120+ across 25 countries, guided by practiced values like Customer Obsession and Balance.
- • Direct impact on content that reaches hundreds of millions of end-users and helps developers monetize their apps effectively.
- • Access to unique, proprietary datasets and collaboration with a skilled data team to produce original research.
- • Professional growth through leadership of flagship reports like the State of Subscription Apps and cross-functional campaign involvement.
- • Support for continuous learning, including encouragement to use AI tools responsibly while prioritizing human judgment and editorial integrity.
