• • n8n is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Controller / FP&A Analyst to join our dynamic, remote-first team across Europe. As the first dedicated Controller at n8n, you will have the unique opportunity to establish and refine the standards for our financial planning and analysis tools, processes, and overall culture. • • Your primary objective will be to provide deep financial insights that empower leadership and various business units to make informed decisions. You will achieve this by taking full ownership of financial reporting and analysis, while simultaneously cultivating strong, collaborative relationships across all departments. This role is crucial in navigating n8n's impressive growth trajectory, fueled by significant funding rounds and a rapidly expanding user base.
• • A core responsibility will be to OWN AND IMPROVE FINANCIAL REPORTING. This involves meticulously preparing comprehensive monthly and quarterly reporting packages, including Profit & Loss statements, cash flow analyses, and key performance indicators (KPIs), tailored for both internal leadership and external stakeholders. You will be instrumental in delivering detailed budget versus actual analysis, breaking down variances at a departmental level and providing insightful commentary to explain deviations. Furthermore, you will play a lead role in supporting the annual planning, budgeting, and rolling forecast processes, ensuring alignment and accuracy across the entire organization.
• • You will also DRIVE BUSINESS PARTNERING AND STRATEGIC INSIGHTS. This entails acting as a strategic financial partner to Go-To-Market (GTM) teams, analyzing critical metrics such as sales funnel performance, Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC), and campaign Return on Investment (ROI). You will conduct in-depth ad hoc business analyses and develop sophisticated financial models to support key business initiatives, including compensation planning, hiring strategies, and capacity planning. Your proactive delivery of financial insights will be essential in guiding teams to optimize their performance and achieve their ambitious goals.
• • The role extends to SUPPORTING COMPLIANCE AND PROCESS SCALING. You will contribute to essential financial operations such as consolidation, VAT declarations, transfer pricing documentation, and the preparation for external audits. A significant aspect of your work will involve helping to design, implement, and continuously improve scalable finance processes and select appropriate tooling to support n8n's rapid growth. You will also support enhancements to our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and reporting systems, focusing on improving data quality, accuracy, and automation to streamline financial operations.
