- • Lead daily underwriting and approvals for Hala Financing, ensuring sound credit decisions that support SME growth and financial inclusion in the MENAP region.
- • Develop and maintain credit policies, underwriting standards, and risk appetite frameworks aligned with regulatory requirements and business objectives.
- • Oversee credit decision-making for high-ticket and exception cases across lending portfolios, applying rigorous risk assessment to protect asset quality.
- • Monitor portfolio health and risk trends using data insights to proactively adjust risk strategy and mitigate potential losses.
- • Assist in developing credit scoring models and collaborate with data teams to refine predictive risk indicators for improved underwriting accuracy.
- • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., SAMA) and prepare reports for regulatory reviews or audits to maintain licensing and operational integrity.
- • Propose and implement early warning systems to detect early signs of delinquency and enable timely intervention.
- • Support in defining collections strategy in partnership with the Product team to optimize recovery outcomes and customer experience.
- • Join a mission-driven fintech empowering SMEs across UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt with cutting-edge financial and technological tools.
- • Work within a diverse, inclusive team of over 30 nationalities across 7 countries, fostering innovation and cross-cultural collaboration in a hyper-growth environment.
🎯 Requirements
- • Proven experience in credit underwriting, risk management, or credit analysis, preferably within SME lending or fintech.
- • Strong understanding of credit policies, underwriting standards, and risk appetite framework development.
- • Experience monitoring portfolio health, analyzing risk trends, and using data to inform risk strategy adjustments.
- • Familiarity with regulatory requirements in financial services, particularly SAMA guidelines or equivalent.
- • Ability to collaborate with data teams on credit scoring models and predictive risk indicator refinement.
- • Experience supporting collections strategy development in partnership with product or operations teams.
