• • Take ownership of the entire lifecycle of international shipments for collectibles, ensuring seamless and compliant movement of goods across borders for Collectors Universe, Inc.
• • This pivotal role focuses on managing the complex logistics of submissions, outbound shipments, and operational materials, with a significant emphasis on Temporary Import Bond (TIB) compliance and international customs regulations.
• • Proactively identify and mitigate risks associated with customs delays, mis-shipments, and communication breakdowns across a global network of operations and partners.
• • Serve as the central point of contact for all international logistics activities, coordinating efforts between U.S. operations, international offices, third-party brokers, and carriers to maintain operational efficiency and accuracy.
• • Review and meticulously validate all international submission orders processed through U.S. hubs (Santa Ana, New Jersey, etc.) before their release, ensuring correct routing, destination handling, and system configuration.
• • Maintain a critical “Shipping Hold” status for specific international submissions (e.g., PSA China, Hong Kong) until all necessary clearance policies are met, preventing premature or non-compliant shipments.
• • Establish and manage a global network of broker partners to streamline international shipments, facilitating smooth operations for new location launches and ensuring scalability.
• • Provide continuous oversight and management of TIB compliance for shipments once they have departed U.S. facilities, ensuring adherence to all regulatory requirements.
• • Stay ahead of evolving customs requirements in key international markets, proactively processing necessary information and implementing operational adjustments to maintain compliance and avoid disruptions.
• • Collaborate closely with U.S. customs brokers and carriers like FedEx to guarantee end-to-end shipment tracking and the swift, proactive resolution of any customs holds or inquiries.
• • Diligently monitor all international shipments for port accuracy, customs status, and the completeness of required documentation, intervening as necessary to rectify issues.
• • Conduct regular, in-depth audits of active international submissions to detect discrepancies, identify potential delays, and flag any compliance risks before they escalate.
• • Generate comprehensive exception reports detailing identified issues and escalate them to management within a strict 48-hour Service Level Agreement (SLA), ensuring timely intervention.
• • Identify problem orders at the earliest possible stage and alert relevant internal teams to prevent delays affecting subsequent shipments within bulk TIB batches.
• • Closely track and analyze turnaround times (TATs) and overall shipment progress from the initial intake of items through to their final return to customers or business locations.
• • Act as the primary liaison between PSA U.S., PSA China, PSA Hong Kong, and other international logistics teams, fostering clear and consistent communication.
• • Deliver clear, concise, and timely status updates to international stakeholders, providing actionable resolution paths for any logistical challenges.
• • Coordinate seamlessly across Receiving, Operations, Shipping, and Grading departments to ensure uninterrupted process continuity and efficient workflow management.
• • Partner with Operations, IT, and other cross-functional teams to enhance system safeguards, reduce manual tracking efforts, and minimize fragmented documentation.
• • Drive the automation of destination validation and routing checks to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• • Implement Shipping department process improvements to ensure the smooth and timely delivery of goods to international customers and business locations.
• • Contribute significantly to the development, implementation, and enforcement of standardized international logistics procedures across the organization.
• • Expected to eliminate mis-shipment risks for international and TIB-controlled orders, thereby safeguarding company assets and customer trust.
• • Expected to improve accountability and coordination among regional logistics teams, fostering a more cohesive and effective global supply chain.
• • Expected to reduce delays in the return of high-value international submissions, enhancing customer satisfaction and operational throughput.
• • Expected to significantly improve visibility into international shipment status and turnaround times, enabling better planning and decision-making.
