- • As a Senior Data Scientist in Product Analytics at TRM Labs, you will play a foundational role in shaping how data drives product decisions for a company building blockchain analytics and AI solutions to combat crypto-related fraud and financial crime, directly contributing to a safer world by enabling law enforcement, financial institutions, and crypto businesses to detect and disrupt illicit activity.
- • You will design, launch, and analyze controlled experiments (feature flags, quasi-experiments) to validate product bets, delivering statistically robust recommendations that influence ship/iterate/kill decisions, while translating complex product and customer data into crisp narratives that reshape priorities and unlock ARR or risk-reduction upside.
- • You will define north-star and supporting KPIs, build data models and dashboards ensuring leadership consumes a single source of truth for product health, and partner with R&D to spec, QA, and monitor event tracking, authoring tests and anomaly alerts so teams trust the numbers.
- • You will operate within a small but foundational Product Analytics team of two, with direct access to senior decision-makers, thriving in a high-autonomy environment where you shape how analytics is done at a fast-scaling company through close cross-functional collaboration and a deep investment in product thinking.
- • You will accelerate insight delivery by extracting insights for every product release within 72 hours of launch, influencing quarterly roadmap priorities through data-backed insights, and driving experiment velocity by aiming to run experiments on all net-new product functionality, all while applying AI fluency to accelerate workflows, structure problem-solving, improve output quality, and increase leverage as a baseline expectation at TRM.
🎯 Requirements
- • Proven experience designing and analyzing controlled experiments (feature flags, quasi-experiments) with strong causal inference skills to derive meaningful insights that influence product direction.
- • Advanced SQL modeling expertise, including writing modular, tested SQL models that power dashboards and experimentation frameworks, with comfort contributing to codebases via GitHub.
- • Demonstrated ability in data storytelling and stakeholder influence—building compelling narratives connecting user behavior to business outcomes, tailored for executives and individual contributors.
- • Ownership mindset: proactive in improving instrumentation, ensuring reliable data pipelines, and closing the loop between product changes and insights.
- • Fluency in applying AI to accelerate repeatable workflows, structure and solve problems, improve output quality, and increase speed and leverage—expected as a baseline at TRM.
- • Ability to thrive in high-ambiguity, fast-paced environments with rapidly changing priorities, requiring adaptability, creative problem-solving, and comfort operating with incomplete information.
