- • Analyze financial data, transaction patterns, and user behavior to identify and assess credit, fraud, and compliance risks across Found’s product offerings.
- • Design, build, and deploy automated risk controls and decisioning systems in partnership with Engineering, Product, and Data Science teams to balance user experience with platform safety.
- • Contribute to strategic planning by providing leadership with insights on risk trends, policy improvements, and long-term risk strategy to support Found’s growth and expansion.
- • Proactively identify inefficiencies in existing risk management processes and drive initiatives to increase scalability and operational efficiency.
- • Collaborate cross-functionally to translate complex risk findings into actionable recommendations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- • Develop and maintain scalable analytical models to detect anomalous behavior and mitigate financial and operational risks in a fast-paced fintech environment.
- • Work with large datasets using SQL, Python, and other analytical tools to derive insights that inform risk policy and product decisions.
- • Ensure risk frameworks evolve in alignment with regulatory requirements and business objectives while maintaining a seamless experience for self-employed users.
- • Partner with Operations and Engineering to implement real-time risk monitoring systems that reduce exposure without compromising user onboarding or transaction flow.
- • Serve as a key advisor on risk-related product features, helping prioritize initiatives that enhance security, compliance, and trust in Found’s financial platform.
- • Monitor emerging risk signals and adapt models to changing user behaviors, market conditions, and regulatory landscapes.
- • Document risk models, assumptions, and outcomes to ensure transparency, auditability, and knowledge sharing across teams.
- • Support the scaling of risk infrastructure as Found expands its services to new segments of the self-employed workforce.
- • Translate business objectives into measurable risk KPIs and track performance against those metrics to evaluate control effectiveness.
- • Maintain a strong focus on user-centric risk management, ensuring safeguards do not unduly hinder the financial autonomy of self-employed individuals.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years in Analytics or Data Science
- • Strong analytical mindset with experience working with large datasets to derive actionable insights
- • Proficiency in SQL, Python, and other analytical software
- • Strong communication skills to articulate complex risk issues to technical and non-technical audiences
- • Experience effectively influencing and partnering with cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals
- • Previous experience in risk with a fintech or financial services risk role
