  • • Docker is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Deal Operations Specialist to join their dynamic team. By focusing on Deal Desk Operations, which encompasses driving deal strategy, securing pricing approvals, and managing contract redlines, this position directly contributes to accelerating revenue and mitigating risk for the company. The Senior Deal Operations Specialist will also play a key role in supporting the Ready-to-Close process and providing essential quoting support, particularly during critical month and quarter-end periods, ensuring that all deals are accurate, complete, and compliant before being booked. This role is a cornerstone of operational excellence, requiring close collaboration with various departments including Sales, Finance, Legal, RevOps, and Marketplace teams to streamline processes and optimize outcomes.
  • • On a day-to-day basis, the Senior Deal Operations Specialist will act as an Operational Team Lead, guiding and coaching the Deal Operations team on best practices for Deal Desk functions. This includes fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and a customer-centric approach to support. A key responsibility will be to monitor team workload and capacity, ensuring a balanced distribution of cases and proactively identifying opportunities to optimize workflows and eliminate bottlenecks that hinder productivity. The specialist will also be tasked with collaborating closely with cross-functional stakeholders such as Sales, Legal, Finance, and Product teams to address systemic issues and enhance the handoff processes between different departments. Furthermore, this role will drive initiatives aimed at automating repetitive tasks and implementing new tools to boost team productivity and minimize manual efforts. Continuous monitoring of deal cycle times, approval turnaround times, and booking accuracy will be essential to identify areas for improvement and maintain high standards of performance.
  • • In terms of Order Operations Oversight, the Senior Deal Operations Specialist will ensure that Sales teams receive accurate and timely quoting support, even for complex pricing structures. Maintaining the integrity of data within CRM and quoting systems is paramount. The specialist will be responsible for identifying and eliminating process bottlenecks that impede deal velocity, thereby accelerating the sales cycle. During critical month and quarter-end periods, the role will actively support the Ready-to-Close (RTC) process, meticulously ensuring deal accuracy, completeness, and adherence to company policies before deals are booked. This oversight is crucial for financial accuracy and compliance.
  • • The Sr Deal Desk Functions are central to the strategic aspect of this role. The specialist will partner closely with Sales teams to develop optimal deal structures and strategies, aiming to maximize revenue, improve margins, and achieve favorable customer outcomes. This involves reviewing and approving pricing exceptions, non-standard terms, and discount structures, ensuring they align with established company policies. A significant part of the role includes leading commercial risk assessments and managing escalations for complex or strategic deals, providing clear recommendations to senior leadership. Collaboration with the Legal department on contract redlines and negotiations is vital to strike a balance between mitigating risk and accelerating deal closure. Ensuring consistent adherence to pricing governance and approval workflows is also a key responsibility, maintaining order and compliance across all transactions.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 7+ years of experience in Deal Desk & Revenue Operations.
  • • Strong understanding of SaaS pricing models, contract structures, and revenue recognition principles.
  • • Salesforce and CPQ proficiency including expert-level navigation, configuration, quoting, pricing logic, troubleshooting, and report building.
  • • Contract and legal acumen including understanding of commercial contract structures (MSAs, Order Forms, amendments), ability to interpret and negotiate standard terms.
  • • Experience supporting cloud marketplace transactions (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) preferred.
