- • Lead the standardization of CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions across 10+ Python (FastAPI) and TypeScript microservices to ensure consistent, reliable deployments.
- • Design and extend Terraform configurations to cover the full AWS infrastructure stack, ensuring infrastructure-as-code is comprehensive and maintainable.
- • Build centralized observability systems including logging, metrics, and alerting for distributed systems running on AWS EKS, App Runner, and other services.
- • Enhance deployment reliability by implementing staging environments, rollback strategies, and automated health checks across all production services.
- • Harden infrastructure security through container scanning, secrets management, and network policy enforcement within AWS environments.
- • Improve local development workflows by orchestrating Docker Compose setups for all microservices to enable seamless onboarding and testing.
- • Collaborate with engineering teams to operationalize AI and machine learning infrastructure, including GPU workloads and event-driven pipelines powered by Kafka.
- • Optimize cloud infrastructure for performance and cost efficiency while maintaining compliance with EU data sovereignty requirements.
- • Maintain and scale AWS services including ECR, EKS, S3, CloudFront, IAM, Redis, PostgreSQL, and OpenSearch to support enterprise-grade AI applications.
- • Contribute to the development of Greece’s first true Large Language Models by ensuring robust, scalable, and secure infrastructure foundations.
- • Work within an engineering-first culture that prioritizes autonomy, async communication, and minimal meetings to maximize technical impact.
- • Participate in the continuous improvement of infrastructure reliability, scalability, and observability as Kiefer Tech expands its sovereign AI ecosystem across the EU.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of professional DevOps / infrastructure engineering experience
- • Strong expertise in Kubernetes (EKS preferred) and Helm
- • Production experience with Terraform or equivalent IaC (CloudFormation, Pulumi)
- • Deep experience with AWS (ECR, EKS, App Runner, S3, CloudFront, IAM)
- • Proficiency designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions preferred)
- • Track record building observability (logging, metrics, tracing) for distributed systems
