Full Job Description

đź“‹ Description

  • • Own and expand revenue across a portfolio of Tier-1 automotive OEMs and emerging enterprise accounts, carrying an annual quota in the multi-million-pound range and owning the entire sales cycle from first conversation to signed contract and multi-year renewals.
  • • Design and execute bespoke go-to-market strategies for each account, translating Cerence’s GenAI portfolio into business outcomes such as reduced driver distraction, higher brand loyalty, and new after-sales revenue streams; present quarterly business reviews to C-suite stakeholders that quantify ROI and set the stage for upsell and cross-sell motions.
  • • Act as the single point of accountability for executive-level relationships, meeting weekly with customer VPs of Product, Engineering, and Digital to surface unmet needs, negotiate commercials, and secure internal buy-in for joint roadmap investments; convert these insights into actionable feedback that influences Cerence’s product priorities and long-term AI strategy.
  • • Lead cross-functional pursuit teams composed of Sales Engineers, Solution Architects, Professional Services, Legal, and Finance to craft compelling proposals, pilot programs, and production-deployment plans; orchestrate red-team reviews that pre-empt procurement objections and compress deal cycles by up to 30 %.
  • • Identify and penetrate high-growth adjacencies—AIoT, consumer robotics, smart mobility platforms, and intelligent consumer devices—by mapping ecosystem players, developing segment-specific value propositions, and securing lighthouse customers that de-risk future scale-up investments.
  • • Represent Cerence at global industry events, analyst briefings, and OEM design councils; deliver thought-leadership keynotes on conversational AI and generative mobility experiences that position the company as the definitive partner for next-gen human-machine interaction.
  • • Build and maintain a rolling 18-month pipeline that balances short-term revenue with strategic bets, using Salesforce, Tableau, and MEDDPICC qualification to ensure forecast accuracy above 90 % and to provide the board with real-time visibility into revenue risk and upside.
  • • Champion a culture of customer obsession inside Cerence by instituting win-loss reviews, customer advisory boards, and NPS improvement sprints that translate user sentiment into product enhancements and measurable churn reduction.
  • • Mentor junior account executives and sales development reps, sharing battle-tested frameworks for stakeholder mapping, competitive positioning, and executive storytelling that accelerate their path to quota attainment and promotion.
  • • Uphold Cerence’s security, privacy, and compliance standards in every customer engagement, ensuring that data-handling protocols, export-control requirements, and automotive cybersecurity regulations are embedded in every statement of work and MSA.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 7+ years of quota-carrying enterprise or strategic-account sales experience within automotive, high-tech, or AI-driven B2B markets, with a verifiable track record of exceeding multi-million-pound annual targets.
  • • Demonstrated success selling complex software or AI solutions to OEMs, large enterprises, or device manufacturers; familiarity with automotive infotainment, voice assistants, or embedded AI stacks is strongly preferred.
  • • Proven ability to build and maintain C-level and VP-level relationships across Product, Engineering, Procurement, and Digital functions, evidenced by multi-year contract expansions and customer advocacy references.
  • • Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen—capable of constructing ROI models, TCO analyses, and business-case narratives that resonate with both technical and financial decision makers.
  • • Excellent executive-level communication and presentation skills; comfortable delivering keynote speeches, board-level QBRs, and technical deep-dives in English (additional European languages are a plus).
  • • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and comfortable operating in high-ambiguity, fast-growth environments; willingness to travel up to 40 % across EMEA and occasionally to North America and Asia.

🏖️ Benefits

  • • Fully remote-first culture with flexible working hours and a quarterly travel stipend, allowing you to design your own work-life rhythm while staying close to customers and partners.
  • • Competitive base salary plus uncapped commission and accelerators that reward over-achievement, with top performers earning 2Ă— on-target earnings.
  • • Comprehensive private medical, dental, and vision coverage for you and your family, plus income-protection insurance and a generous pension contribution.
  • • Annual ÂŁ2,000 professional-development budget for certifications, conferences, or executive education, plus access to an internal AI sales academy led by industry veterans.
  • • 25 days of holiday plus UK bank holidays, an additional day off for your birthday, and a global shutdown between Christmas and New Year to recharge.
