- ⢠As the Senior Director, Commercial Counsel at Leap Technologies, you will serve as the day-to-day legal operator who keeps the commercial engine running during rapid growth, ensuring that legal processes enable rather than hinder the companyâs mission to transform specialty pharmacy and employer benefits through innovative, fair, and transparent solutions.
- ⢠You will own the full lifecycle of commercial contracting for employer and TPA clients, vendor agreements, and operational legal needs, acting as a trusted advisor to Sales, Marketing, Client Success, Finance, Operations, and HR to accelerate deal-making while maintaining compliance and reducing legal bottlenecks.
- ⢠You will build and maintain scalable systems, including contract templates, playbooks, and contract management workflows, leveraging legal AI tools to increase efficiency and enable a lean legal team to support high-volume, complex transactions with precision and speed.
- ⢠You will stay current on evolving healthcare and technology regulations â including HIPAA, ERISA, anti-kickback statutes, FTC guidance, and emerging AI laws â translating them into actionable business guidance to mitigate risk and support innovation in new markets and product launches.
- ⢠You will partner closely with Sales and Client Success to structure deals and accelerate time-to-close, support HR with employment documentation, review marketing materials, and manage outside counsel relationships with a bias toward resolving matters in-house to control costs and maintain agility.
- ⢠You will provide strategic legal support on special projects as directed by the General Counsel, identifying emerging legal needs as Leap expands into new markets, launches new products, or explores novel business models, ensuring legal readiness keeps pace with growth.

đŻ Requirements
- ⢠JD from an accredited U.S. law school; active license and in good standing with a state bar
- ⢠6+ years of commercial, technology, or healthcare transactional legal experience, including meaningful time at a premier law firm
- ⢠In-house experience at a health tech, digital health, or employer benefits company, preferably one that has scaled from early stage
- ⢠Hands-on experience drafting and negotiating commercial agreements such as MSAs, CDAs/NDAs, BAAs, vendor and consulting agreements, with specific familiarity in the self-insured employer and TPA market
- ⢠Deep working knowledge of HIPAA, ERISA, and related healthcare regulatory frameworks
- ⢠Demonstrated ability to build legal processes and systems from scratch, including contract management libraries, playbooks, and self-serve tools
