- • Lead and oversee all domestic and international financial consolidation functions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in business planning, forecasting, budgeting, financial analysis, and merger and acquisition (M&A) support.
- • Take full accountability for the corporate financial planning cycle, including all shared services support, to drive strategic financial decision-making across the organization.
- • Partner closely with the VP, Finance, and other senior leadership to develop and execute robust financial strategies, enhance management reporting capabilities, and deliver insightful analytics that align with the company's overarching objectives.
- • Provide primary support to the VP, Finance, in managing corporate consolidated management reporting and analytical functions, encompassing monthly, quarterly, and annual board reporting, comprehensive budget planning, dynamic reforecast cycles, and detailed corporate financial consolidation, including the critical handling of eliminations and corporate overhead.
- • Assume ownership of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) for shared services groups, including the annual budgeting process, regular reforecasting, development of 5-year strategic plans, thorough plan-to-actual variance analysis, and providing essential financial oversight and strategic partnership to shared service leaders.
- • Proactively identify and champion opportunities for automation within reporting and analytics processes, including the strategic deployment of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools to enhance efficiency and predictive capabilities.
- • Drive the implementation of consistent methodologies, standardized formatting, and robust analytical attributes across all pillar analytics and reporting to ensure uniformity and comparability.
- • Lead the creation and maintenance of historical Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) across various organizational segments, providing a clear view of past performance and trends.
- • Offer critical support for key corporate financing initiatives, including capital raises (debt, IPO, PE transactions) and M&A activities, providing financial expertise and strategic guidance.
- • Identify and ensure the successful implementation of financial improvements aimed at achieving ambitious revenue and profit targets, contributing directly to the company's financial health.
- • Recommend optimal allocation of assets and resources to maximize productivity and profitability, delivering valuable analysis and insights to guide executive decision-making that supports the Company’s key strategic objectives.
- • Engage directly with Executive-level contacts at existing and prospective clients, brokers, and strategic partners to facilitate negotiations regarding proper rating, and provide clear explanations of rating methodology, influencing factors, and their impact.
- • Collaborate effectively with business leaders to evaluate existing financial systems and current processes, recommending modifications and implementing new systems and processes that are more advantageous to the Company’s strategic financial goals.
- • Ensure strict compliance with all federal, state, local, and corporate policies, regulations, and laws, maintaining the highest standards of financial governance.
- • Support the design, establishment, and maintenance of an organizational structure and staffing model that effectively accomplishes the department’s goals and objectives, fostering a high-performing team.
- • Cultivate strong, collaborative working relationships across all company functions and business units, promoting cross-departmental synergy.
- • Develop, mentor, and grow the talent within the organization, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
- • Actively participate in the hiring and interviewing process for open positions within the unit, ensuring the selection of the most qualified candidates to strengthen the team.
- • Ensure effective communication is maintained within the team and externally, keeping employees informed of plans and progress, and conducting regular employee discussion sessions.
- • Undertake a wide variety of special projects at the Corporate or Line of Business (LOB) level as required, demonstrating flexibility and a broad understanding of financial operations.
- • Coordinate with other units and departments to facilitate special requests, resolve workflow or production issues, and ensure seamless operational execution.
- • Perform all other duties as assigned, demonstrating a commitment to supporting the company's financial objectives.
