  • • As a Senior Director of Instructional Design at College Board, you will lead the design and development of innovative AP courses and exams, directly impacting over 3 million students and 4,000 colleges worldwide by shaping future educational offerings that expand access and opportunity.
  • • You will develop content requirements by collaborating with subject matter experts, lead instructional prototyping efforts for new course components, conduct small-scale testing to refine designs, and contribute to cross-divisional planning to ensure smooth transitions from development to deployment.
  • • You will join the Advanced Placement and Instruction division, a team of 260 staff responsible for developing and administering AP and Pre-AP courses in 40+ disciplines, managing exam administration, scoring, and score reporting, and supporting teacher professional learning programs.
  • • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in curriculum innovation, prototyping, and instructional strategy while driving the creation of scalable, high-quality educational materials that align with AP standards, college credit requirements, and strategic goals, positioning you as a leader in next-generation high school education design.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 7+ years of experience in instructional design, curriculum development, or educational content creation with a focus on prototyping and testing
  • • Broad and flexible pedagogical knowledge with the ability to quickly become a subject matter expert in new content areas
  • • Strong project management skills, including resource planning, timeline management, and adaptive problem-solving in response to new information or challenges
  • • Excellent writing skills for creating clear, engaging, and instructionally effective materials for teachers and curriculum developers
  • • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including curriculum, assessment, and learning engineering experts
  • • Authorization to work in the United States
