This role serves as the primary technical authority for vendor-supplied process control systems, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance of automation technologies that are essential to the company’s production capabilities.
  • • Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing detailed process designs, control specifications, and capital estimates for new equipment and system modifications; collaborating closely with Directors of Manufacturing, plant managers, and supervisors to secure capital approvals and guide implementation steps; managing end-to-end project execution by coordinating with contractors, equipment vendors, and plant personnel to ensure projects remain on budget and on schedule; actively monitoring project progress, identifying risks or deviations, and implementing timely corrective actions to maintain timelines and quality standards; regularly communicating project status, milestones, and updates to cross-functional stakeholders through clear reporting and presentations; validating that capital investments deliver expected process improvements and performance gains; leading the implementation and verification of process enhancements; and acting as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for vendor-supplied process control systems, providing expert support, troubleshooting, and resolution guidance to manufacturing facilities while driving vendor accountability and system optimization.

  • • In this role, the engineer will deepen expertise in industrial automation, process control systems, and capital project management within a complex, regulated food production environment. They will gain hands-on experience influencing multi-site operational improvements, leading cross-functional initiatives, and shaping standardization efforts that enhance plant reliability and throughput. 🎯 Requirements

  • • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Feed Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or related discipline highly preferred with a minimum of 3 years relevant working experience, or Associates degree in Engineering, Feed Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or related discipline with 5 plus years of relevant working experience required.
  • • Proven track record of project management and driving process improvements, with demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and cost initiatives simultaneously.
  • • Intermediate knowledge of MS Office applications including Teams, Projects, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, as well as Adobe/Bluebeam, and AutoCAD.
  • • Experience collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals and operational outcomes.
  • • Hands-on experience with vendor-supplied process control systems/software common to the feed milling industry.
