📋 Description

• Support aircraft and system testing for the X-BAT program in a fast-paced aerospace environment, ensuring rigorous evaluation of performance, safety, and mission readiness.
• Plan, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and procedures from the ground up for UAV and manned aircraft platforms, including ground and flight test activities.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, flight operations, software, and systems to align test objectives with program milestones and operational requirements.
• Manage multiple concurrent test activities while maintaining strict adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and mission-critical success criteria.
• Document test results, anomalies, and corrective actions with precision, ensuring traceability and compliance with aerospace testing standards.
• Participate in test readiness reviews, post-test debriefs, and risk assessments to drive continuous improvement in test methodologies and system reliability.
• Operate in a dynamic environment where projects evolve from early development through production and into active flight operations, requiring adaptability and proactive problem-solving.
• Utilize hands-on technical skills to configure test instrumentation, analyze real-time data, and troubleshoot system-level issues during live test events.
• Ensure all testing activities comply with internal and external regulatory frameworks applicable to defense-grade aerospace systems.
• Contribute to the refinement of test automation strategies and tooling to increase efficiency and repeatability in evaluation processes.
• Maintain detailed records of test configurations, environmental conditions, and hardware/software versions to support audit readiness and reproducibility.
• Act as a key liaison between test operations and program management, providing clear, timely updates on test progress, delays, and critical findings.
• Prioritize safety and mission success in every phase of testing, with a relentless focus on protecting personnel and ensuring system integrity under operational conditions.
• Work within Shield AI’s global mission to protect service members and civilians through the deployment of intelligent autonomous systems.
