- ⢠Lead the Corporate Engineering team at Grafana Labs to optimize IT operations and drive internal AI-native strategy, enabling employees to own their workflows through automation and platform development.
- ⢠Manage corporate systems including employee device lifecycles, helpdesk queues, security initiatives, SaaS vendor relationships, and internal tooling development while ensuring visibility and continuous improvement of work and costs.
- ⢠Partner with engineering, security, and business teams to enable safe experimentation with AI and agentic workloads, leveraging Grafanaās OSS ecosystem where possible and contributing back to the community.
- ⢠Foster a high-trust, autonomous team culture through regular 1:1s, coaching, mentoring, and participation in on-call rotations and design reviews, aligning with Grafanaās values of transparency, innovation, and open-source collaboration.
šÆ Requirements
- ⢠Experience running a software engineering operations team with a strong engineering background, capable of engaging in technical decisions and challenging teams to arrive at strong technical outcomes.
- ⢠Deep hands-on experience managing and automating corporate IT systems across operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, Android), SSO (Okta, 1Password), productivity tools (Google Workspace, Office), MDM (Jamf, Intune), EDR, DLP, and corporate SaaS platforms (Salesforce, Zendesk).
- ⢠Approach IT and corporate security with a DevOps mindsetāpreferring enablement, automation, and guardrails over gatesāand experience building internal platforms that serve as tools for other teams.
- ⢠Knowledge of current AI state of the art and ability to leverage it safely across the enterprise to enable experimentation rather than lock-in to legacy technology.
- ⢠Excellent written and verbal communicator who can articulate complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences and guide via influence in autonomous engineering teams.
- ⢠Willingness to work Eastern-time oriented hours to maximize overlap with EMEA peers.
