- • Lead the Corporate Engineering team at Grafana Labs to optimize IT operations and drive internal AI-native strategy, enabling seamless workflows for all employees through automation and platform development.
- • Manage corporate systems, employee device lifecycles, helpdesk queues, internal tooling, security initiatives, vendor relationships, and cost visibility while leveraging Grafana’s observability stack to solve internal challenges.
- • Join a remote-first, open-source powerhouse with over 20M global users of Grafana, serving companies like Bloomberg, JPMorgan Chase, and eBay, where transparency, autonomy, and trust fuel innovation in a cloud-native, globally distributed organization.
- • Develop leadership and technical expertise in enterprise IT modernization, AI enablement, DevOps-driven corporate systems, and open-source practices while mentoring a high-performing team and influencing cross-functional platforms within the Foundations department.
🎯 Requirements
- • Experience running a software engineering operations team with a strong engineering background, capable of technical decision-making and influencing teams through expertise.
- • Deep hands-on experience managing and automating corporate IT systems including OS (Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, Android), SSO (Okta, 1Password), productivity tools (Google Workspace, Office), MDM (Jamf, Intune), EDR, DLP, and SaaS platforms (Salesforce, Zendesk).
- • Approach IT and corporate security with a DevOps mindset—favoring enablement, automation, and guardrails over restrictive gates—and have experience building internal platforms that empower teams.
- • Excellent written and verbal communicator able to explain complex ideas to technical and non-technical audiences, comfortable working with autonomous engineering teams via influence.
- • Willingness to work Eastern-time oriented hours to maximize overlap with EMEA peers in a fully remote, global organization.
